ALIEN (FX on Hulu) - Timothy Olyphant, David Rysdahl, Babou Ceesay, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diêm Camille and Adrian Edmondson have all been cast in the film-turned-TV series. Olyphant is believed to be playing Kirsh, "a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for [Sydney] Chandler's Wendy who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult." AMERICAN SPORTS STORY (FX) - Jake Cannavale and Catfish Jean are both bound for the anthology series. Cannavale has been tapped to play "Aaron Hernandez's love interest" while Jean is set as Ernest "Bo" Wallace, "one of Hernandez's friends and bad influences." ANON PLS (Max) - Diablo Cody and Ryan O'Connell have been tapped to pen the DeuxMoi adaptation, which received a script-to-series order back in May of 2022. DeuxMoi, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman of Berlanti Productions will also executive produce for Warner Bros. Television. (Variety.com, 11/27)
BEAR, THE (FX on Hulu) - The show's third season will commence production in late February-early March. (Deadline.com, 11/27)
BOYS, THE: MEXICO (Amazon, New!) - Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer is spearheading a new incarnation of the franchise set in Mexico with Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal on board to executive produce and potentially appear in the series. No plot specifics however were given. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Neil H. Moritz will also executive produce for Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, Original Film, Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. (Deadline.com, 11/28)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Alberto Rosende's Blake Gallo is departing the series after four seasons. He'll make a final appearance in the season 12 premiere. (Deadline.com, 11/30)
CHICAGO MED (NBC) - Luke Mitchell is set to recur on the series as Mitch Ripley, "an Emergency Department doctor with a troubled past who shares a history with Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt)." Said role is eyed to expand to a series regular. (Deadline.com, 11/29)
CLARKSON'S FARM (Amazon) - The streamer has ordered a fourth season of the series, in advance of its third season which drops next year. (@primevideouk, 11/30)
CSI: VEGAS (CBS) - Reggie Lee will recur on the upcoming season as Zhao, "the new undersheriff of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department." (TVLine.com, 11/28)
DEAD IN THE WATER (Amazon, New!) - The streamer has commissioned a three-part documentary series from Raw TV and All3Media International "which will tell the gripping global story of the long hunt for a brutal killer that spans four decades." It's further detailed as follows: "In 1978, a young British couple embarked on the trip of a lifetime through remote Central America. Chris Farmer and Peta Frampton set out on an exhilarating backpacking adventure, but their dream soon turned into a chilling nightmare when they were brutally murdered and the trail for their killer goes cold. Four decades later, failed by law enforcement, their family take up the manhunt and begin the descent into an unknown world of online sleuthing, making a shocking discovery." Keeley Van Dyke and Liesel Evans are the executive producers, Claire Goodlass and Charlie Melville are the producers, and Niamh Kennedy is directing. (Deadline.com, 11/30)
DINERS, DRIVE-INS AND DIVES/GUY'S GROCERY GAMES/TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS (Food Network) - Guy Fieri has inked a new three-year deal with the cable channel. The pact includes renewals of all three of his aforementioned series. He'll also develop new projects via his Knuckle Sandwich production banner. (Deadline.com, 11/28)
DR. WOLF (NBC) - Donna Murphy will recur on the newcomer as Muriel Landon, "young Oliver Wolf's mother in flashbacks, throughout Season 1. Murial does what she does to protect her son as Oliver's dad and her ex-husband struggles with his mental health." (Deadline.com, 11/28)
DYING FOR SEX (FX, New!) - Michelle Williams is set to star in a limited series at the cable channel billed as "the story of a woman (Williams) diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer who leaves her husband of 15 years and begins to explore her sexuality. She gets the courage and support to go on this adventure from her best friend, who stays by her side all the way to the very end." Director Leslye Headland and writers Liz Meriwether and Kim Rosenstock are behind the project, which is based on the Wondery podcast. Katherine Pope and Nikki Boyer will executive produce alongside said quartet for 20th Television. (Deadline.com, 11/30)
EMPEROR OF OCEAN PARK (MGM+) - Grantham Coleman, Tiffany Mack and Paulina Lule has been tapped to star in the network's series adaptation of Stephen L. Carter's novel. Set in the worlds of politics, Ivy League academia, and the beaches of Martha's Vineyard, the series centers on Talcott Garland (Coleman), an Ivy League law professor whose quiet life is shattered when his father, Judge Oliver Garland, dies of an apparent heart attack. The nature of the judge's death is questioned by Tal's sister, Mariah (Mack), a former journalist and inveterate conspiracy theorist, who believes that the judge, a failed Black nominee to the Supreme Court, met with foul play. Lule plays Kimmer Madison Garland, "Tal's wife, a high-powered lawyer on the verge of being appointed a federal judgeship who sometimes neglects the feelings of those around her, including her husband." FAERIE (Amazon, New!) - The Jim Henson Company is set to team with Amazon MGM Studios for a potential series based on the work of Brian and Wendy Froud: "When the Faeries kidnap an unsuspecting father, his family must venture into the Faerie realm to rescue him. Through their journey, they will discover their inner strength and unique potential, challenging the expectations that the human world has put upon them. At its core, Faerie is a story of perseverance and the strength of a family's love, filled with magic, adventure, and self-discovery at every age." The Froud will executive produce the project along with their son, Toby. (Variety.com, 11/29)
FBI: INTERNATIONAL (CBS) - Christina Wolfe will join the cast of the upcoming third season in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Variety.com, 11/29)
GANGS OF LONDON (AMC+) - Andrew Koji, Richard Dormer and T'Nia Miller have all signed onto the show's third season. Koji will play "an unnamed assassin at the heart of the unfolding mystery across the series"; with Dormer as Cornelius Quinn, "a face from the past whose arrival awakens old rivalries for Marian Wallace and Ed Dumani"; and Miller as "the formidable new Mayor of London set to wreak havoc for the gangs." GHOSTS (CBS) - Filming is set to begin this Saturday on the show's third season. (Deadline.com, 11/28)
GRAND TOUR, THE (Amazon) - The streamer is not moving forward with the current incarnation of the series hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. Said trio have two upcoming specials - one set in Mauritania, due in February, and a final special set in Zimbabwe, due at a later date next year - that will conclude the fifth season. Options to continue the series with different hosts are being explored. (Variety.com, 12/1)
IS THERE STILL SEX IN THE CITY (New!) - Bunim-Murray Productions is set to make the rounds with an unscripted dating show based on author Candace Bushnell's "Sex and the City" book in which "will follow four friends in their fifties as they navigate the immersive dating experience in a "love do-over" where they trade in their busy city lives for a "dating utopia."" LAST OF US, THE (HBO) - Filming on the show's second season will begin on February 12. (Variety.com, 12/1)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Kelli Giddish will once again reprise her role of Amanda Rollins for its season 25 premiere. (TVLine.com, 11/28)

UNSETTLING (Amazon, New!) - Comedians Jamie Lee and Nikki Glaser are attached to star in a single-camera comedy at the streamer "described as a heartwarming and refreshingly honest show about two childless best friends (Lee, Glaser) in their 30s who decide to "go in" on a baby together, and navigate their lives as brand new platonic co-parents." Lee is also penning the project with co-showrunner Aseem Batra, Glaser, as well as Doozer's Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer also executive producing for Warner Bros. UNTITLED OWEN HANSON PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - The streamer has commissioned its own docuseries about "the FBI's takedown of USC football player-turned-drug kingpin Owen Hanson." Jody McVeigh-Schultz is directing and Adam Ridley is producing for Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson and Archie Gips' Unrealistic Ideas. (Deadline.com, 11/29)
