ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT (Syndication) - The newsmagazine decided not to renew the contracts of on-air correspondent Will Marfuggi and weekend co-anchor Matt Cohen as part of layoffs impacting less than 10% of its staff. (TheWrap.com, 7/26)
LANDO (Disney+) - Donald and Stephen Glover have signed on to write the long-in-the-works Lando Calrissian limited series, presumably succeeding Justin Simien. The former Glover played said role in 2018's "Solo: A Star Wars Story." (Variety.com, 7/27)
LLOYD OF THE FLIES (Tubi, New!) - The streaming service has acquired Matthew Walker's 52-episode series from Aardman Animations, which "follows Lloyd, a young fly who is the middle child of 451, who lives in an apple with his long-suffering parents, cheeky little sister and 224 maggots." It will make its U.S. debut on August 6. The voice cast is led by Tom Rosenthal, Alex Lawther, Lauren Patel, Callum Scott Howells, Teresa Gallagher, Ayesha Antoine and Rob Rackstraw. UNDERDEVELOPED (Tubi, New!) - Brian A. Metcalf's mockumentary series, which "focuses on a group of failed and inexperienced producers working together at a production company," has landed at the streaming service. Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tom Arnold, Mark Pellegrino, Samm Levine, Shelley Regner, Kelly Arjen, Charlene Amoia, Nolan River, Jaret Reddick, David Henrie and David Koechner star.
