DESCRIPTION:
(from HBO's press release, January 2010) Claire Danes stars in the title role of this HBO Films presentation of a Ruby Films/Gerson Saines production, based on the true story of the best-selling author, animal scientist and autism advocate, whose own autism affords her uncanny powers of observation. Grandin's insight into the complexities of animal behavior has revolutionized the cattle industry. Directed by Mick Jackson, the film also stars Catherine O'Hara with Julia Ormond and David Strathairn.
