A new game show hosted by Rob Lowe (9-1-1: Lone Star), The Floor sees 81 contestants face off in duels on a giant grid of squares representing their own field of trivia expertise. The winner of each timed head-to-head trivia battle takes control of their opponent's square, while the loser goes home. Only one player will walk away with a whopping $250,000 cash prize. In the eighth episode, the remaining 25 players try to hang onto their turf to be the last one standing as a rookie contestant celebrates his wedding anniversary with a strategy that shocks everyone. Will a new king or queen of The Floor emerge in the all-new "The Professor" episode of The Floor, airing Tuesday, Feb. 20 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (FLR-108) (TV-PG L)

DESCRIPTION:
(from FOX's web site, February 2025) Contestants must stand their ground on a massive, interactive LED game floor of squares, each representing a different trivia category. The first challenger, selected at random, must choose one of his or her neighboring opponents to go head-to-head in an epic quiz duel in the opponent's category. The winner takes over the loser's square, gaining valuable ground as they expand their territory, while the loser exits the game. The winner must then choose whether to go on the offensive to dominate more of the board or let The Floor choose a new challenger. The contestant who gains full control over The Floor takes home a life-changing grand prize. |
