THE DEFENSE TEAMS REPRESENTING THE THREE WHITE MEN ACCUSED OF KILLING A BLACK GEORGIA JOGGER EXPLAIN WHY THEY SAY THEIR CLIENTS ARE NOT GUILTY IN "48 HOURS: JUSTICE FOR AHMAUD"
CBS News correspondent Omar Villafranca and 48 HOURS investigate the shooting death of Black jogger Ahmaud Arbery and the case against three White men who stand accused of killing him in an encore of "Justice for Ahmaud" to be broadcast June 19 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The viral video of Arbery being chased and shot dead in Brunswick, Ga., captured the attention of the nation and made international headlines. It's a story about a mother's relentless pursuit for the truth of what happened to her son. It's also a case that has raised questions about race and racism, and whether local authorities tried to squash the initial investigation. The prosecutor and the defense attorneys for the three men - former law enforcement officer Gregory McMichael, his son Travis and neighbor William "Roddie" Bryan - sit down for in-depth interviews on 48 HOURS. All three men have pleaded not guilty.
