"48 HOURS" AND CORRESPONDENT RICHARD SCHLESINGER GO INSIDE THE MILITARY AND EXAMINES A MINISTRY IN TWO SATURDAY NIGHT MYSTERIES STARTING AT 8:00 PM, ET/PT

48 HOURS and Correspondent Richard Schlesinger get a rare inside look at a military murder mystery in an updated "Honor and Dishonor," to be rebroadcast Saturday, July 26 starting at 8:00 PM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network as part of a Saturday night double feature.

Schlesinger kicks off the night at 8:00 PM with his investigation into the 2007 murders of Tracy Burke and Karen Comer, and the subsequent attempted prosecution of their alleged killer, Army Sgt. Brent Burke. It's a story about a fractured military family that takes viewers inside an Army court martial, where 48 HOURS was granted special access to both the prosecution and defense teams of the JAG Corps.

Tracy Burke and her ex-husband's mother, Karen Comer, were shot dead in Comer's Kentucky home while Tracy's three young children were left unharmed. Fearing for his life, Tracy's then-9-year-old son Matthew waited until the next day to call 911.

"Somebody broke into our house last night... I don't know who it was, but they killed everybody here except my sister, my brother and me," Matthew says in the call. What he also told police was critical to the investigation, but was it enough to get a conviction?

Then, at 10:00 PM, ET/PT, Schlesinger and 48 HOURS return to the 1960 murder of beauty queen Irene Garza, and her family's five-decade quest for answers in an updated rebroadcast of "The Last Confession." Garza was 25 years old when she told her family she was going to church for confession. She was never seen alive again. Five days later, her body was found in a canal.

Police questioned hundreds of people, but focused on Father John Feit, who admitted hearing Garza's confession, though steadfastly denied any involvement in her murder. The case went cold until 2002, when a former monk, Dale Tachney, told police decades earlier Feit admitted to killing a young woman. Another man, an assistant pastor at Feit's church in 1960, also told investigators in 2002 that Feit told him he did it.

Despite the new information, Hildago County District Attorney Rene Guerra didn't believe the case was strong enough to move forward. Members of the Garza family told 48 HOURS they're hoping Guerra's replacement, Ricardo Rodriguez, will take up the case once in office.

Saturday marks the second of a handful of weekends this summer where 48 HOURS is offering an 8:00 PM mystery along with its regular 10:00 PM broadcast. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer of 48 HOURS.
