FOX joins forces with ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT to respond to the devastating earthquake in Haiti by simulcasting HOPE FOR HAITI, a global telethon hosted by George Clooney, Wyclef Jean and Anderson Cooper. The two-hour commercial-free event will be broadcast from New York City and Los Angeles, and will feature musical performances and celebrity appearances, as well as live news reports from CNN. Additionally, Facebook and MySpace will serve as social-media partners to help drive donations and tune-in to the telethon. All proceeds from the telethon will be split evenly along five relief organizations currently operating in Haiti: Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF and Yele Haiti Foundation.
