ABC NEWS TO BROADCAST PRESIDENT OBAMA'S ADDRESS TO A JOINT SESSION OF CONGRESS ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24
Live Coverage to Include Republican Response
ABC News will broadcast President Barack Obama's address to a joint session of Congress on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24. Coverage will air from 9:00-10:30 p.m., ET and will include the Republican response from Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, as well as post-speech analysis.
Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos will anchor ABC's coverage from the Capitol. They will be joined by Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper and Senior Congressional Correspondent Jonathan Karl. ABC News commentators George Will and Donna Brazile will also contribute.
Mr. Gibson will also anchor "World News" from Washington, DC on Tuesday. After the speech, "Nightline" will provide additional coverage and analysis live at 11:35 p.m., ET, with Terry Moran anchoring from Washington. On Wednesday, "Good Morning America" will feature morning-after reaction to the President's speech, with full coverage from co-anchors Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts.
ABCNEWS.com will live stream coverage on ABC News NOW, the network's 24/7 digital channel, beginning at 8:30 p.m., ET. Additionally web users will be invited to post their reactions to the President's speech on Twitter and have them appear on ABCNEWS.com. Beginning at 10:30 p.m., ET, "Nightline" co-anchor Terry Moran will appear live on ABCNEWS.com and ABC News NOW to respond to viewers' comments, tweets and messages. Following the speech, ABC's White House correspondent Yunji de Nies will moderate a panel discussion with Moran, anchor Sam Donaldson and Senior Political Reporter Rick Klein.
ABC News Radio will provide live anchored coverage of President Obama's address beginning at 9:00 p.m., ET. ABC News Radio Correspondent Aaron Katersky will anchor the coverage along with ABC's Ann Compton at the White House, Vic Ratner on Capitol Hill and ABC News Radio Political Analyst Steve Roberts.
ABC NewsOne, the affiliate news feed service of ABC News, will provide live reports from Washington DC with ABC News correspondents Viviana Hurtado, Clayton Sandell and T.J. Winick for more than 200 ABC affiliates and clients.
