"COLLATERAL" AIRS AS THE "ABC FRIDAY MOVIE OF THE WEEK," AUGUST 22
"Collateral," the heart-pounding crime thriller starring Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx and Jada Pinkett Smith, airs as the "ABC Friday Movie of the Week," AUGUST 22 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. The film, nominated for two 2005 Academy Awards and six 2005 BAFTA Awards, will be broadcast in HDTV format with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio.
The action packed "Collateral" takes viewers on a wild ride through Los Angeles with cab driver Max (Jamie Foxx), who has picked up the wrong kind of passenger. Vincent (Tom Cruise) has offered Max a large amount of money to drive him to five locations throughout the city, no questions asked. But after accepting this proposition, Max realizes that Vincent is a hit man, and that he's in fact driving Vincent to each one of his marks. Max has to make some life changing decisions, as he's pursued across LA by the LAPD and FBI.
"Collateral" stars Tom Cruise as Vincent, Jamie Foxx as Max, Jada Pinkett Smith as Annie, Mark Ruffalo as Fanning, Peter Berg as Richard Weidner, Bruce McGill as Pedrosa, Irma P. Hall as Ida, Barry Shabaka Henley as Daniel and Javier Bardem as Felix.
