HIGHLIGHTS FROM OPRAH WINFREYS FIRST-EVER PRIMETIME OPRAH WINFREY OSCAR SPECIAL, AIRING THURSDAY, FEB. 22 ON ABC

Oprah Winfrey asked her Oscar-winning Hollywood friends Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Jamie Foxx, to interview the Oscar-winning actor they would most like to talk to, and they chose George Clooney, Russell Crowe and Sidney Poitier, respectively. In the ensuing unprecedented conversations, a number of unexpected and revealing moments arose, on The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special, airing THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Julia Roberts goes one-on-one in an exclusive interview with her former co-star, George Clooney. The Oscar-winning actress is currently expecting her third child, and this is also her first interview since making that announcement. Clooney asks when the babys due and Roberts laughingly responds, Late summer. So it'll be nice and hot. My ankles will be nice and swollen and elephant-like.

As they settle into their conversation at Clooneys home in the Hollywood Hills, the two chat about the first time they met (in 2001 during the filming of Oceans Eleven). Roberts asks Clooney about dating and women, and he describes his first kiss (he was 11 and remembers the girl was a bobcata wild one). Later in their conversation, Brad Pitt makes a surprise phone call and offers Roberts some interview tips.

Right before Nicole Kidmans and Russell Crowes first-ever on-camera appearance together at the landmark Beverly Hills Hotel, both actors two of Hollywoods and Australias biggest movie stars admit that they were nervous. Crowe quickly turns the tables on Kidman and asks her candid questions. They discuss her marriage to country superstar Keith Urban and her desire to have more children. Crowe asks, How's Keith doing at the moment? Kidman also reveals how she came face to face with death during a frightening helicopter ride.

Finally, Jamie Foxx sits down with one of his heroes, Sidney Poitier, on the very stage on which Poitier won the Oscar for his role in Lilies of the Field. Poitier, the first African American to win the Oscar for Best Actor, recalls his feelings during that historic evening in 1963. The father of six daughters, Poitier shares some parenting advice with Foxx, the father of a 12-year-old girl, saying, Always remember -- the measure of a man is how well he takes care of his children. Foxx closes this once-in-a-lifetime interview by performing a soulful rendition of Amen for Poitier.
