From crimes of passion to big business, �20/20� looks at revenge and the lines people will cross between fantasizing about it and actually taking it. �Sweet Revenge� airs on special �20/20,� FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Reports include:
� Why do we thrive on revenge? Do women or men have a stronger desire for revenge? Is harmless payback ok? Chris Connelly reports on how vengeance is rooted, and how not to let it become a lifelong obsession.
� Scorned lovers out for revenge� JuJu Chang reports on when the passion of love turns into the passion of revenge. For the first time on television, controversial rapper Eminem�s ex-wife, Kim Mathers, talks candidly about their tumultuous relationships and acts of revenge.
� Lynn Sherr reports on how an accomplished children�s eye doctor with a thriving practice in Tucson was convicted of murdering his one-time partner � all for revenge.
� With so much at stake, courtroom violence can erupt at any time. Sometimes it�s the victims� loved ones seeking personal revenge or the defendants lashing out at lawyers. But as Jim Avila reports, sitting in the middle of the mayhem is the man or woman in the black robe, and threats on judges have quadrupled in the past decade.
� Chris Connelly reports on a man who desperately wanted revenge, tracked down his target and made intricate plans. But at the last moment fate intervened.
Then, from 10:00-11:00 p.m., �20/20� reports on a young man, Rick Rodriguez, who wanted to get back at his own mother for shattering his life by raising him in a bizarre religious sect that he says condoned sex with children. Rodriquez recorded his final thoughts as he prepared to kill himself and his own mother. As a boy, he was the poster child for the popular Children of God religious sect, exalted by the group�s leader as its prophet-in-waiting. Jay Schadler�s report includes portions of a British documentary entitled �Cult Killer.�
