The ABC Television Network presents a sneak peek at the new Fall season -- complete with exclusive on-set visits and cast interviews -- in two half-hour specials. �ABC Sneak Peek: The Dramas� is set to air WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), followed immediately by �ABC Sneak Peek: Comedy and Reality� (9:30-10:00 p.m.) on the ABC Television Network.
Exclusive footage from �ABC Sneak Peek: The Dramas� will get the adrenaline racing with scenes from the Emmy Award-winning phenomenon �Lost� and returning hit �Grey�s Anatomy,� as well as the new thriller, �The Nine.� Calista Flockhart stars in �Brothers and Sisters� as a political pundit whose tight-knit family suddenly unravels at a birthday celebration. New this season is �MEN IN TREES,� starring Anne Heche as a best-selling relationship coach whose life takes a 180 degree turn when her fianc�s cheating prompts her to take refuge in the wilds of Alaska. An intriguing tale of intertwined destinies unfolds in the new J.J. Abrams series, �Six Degrees,� and chaos and brilliance continue to mix in the Emmy Award-winning �Boston Legal.� Returning as well for a second season is �What About Brian,� which takes a semi-serious look at a group of friends in various stages of romantic relationships
A turn toward the real, the funny and the real funny follows with �ABC Sneak Peek: Comedy and Reality.� Premiering this season is �Ugly Betty,� based on a groundbreaking Colombian telenovela that became an international phenomenon. America Ferrera is Betty Suarez, the oversized peg in the round hole at Mode magazine, the bible of the fashion magazine, where she struggles as secretary to a publishing mogul�s son. Hit primetime black comedy �Desperate Housewives� returns to further reveal the lives of housewives in suburbia, which aren�t always as they appear. Also returning is the Emmy-winning �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,� which this season travels across America, starting from the North Pole, to help families in areas the series has never ventured to before.
New this season is �The Knights of Prosperity,� about a group of average Joes who form a �crew� whose intention is to finance their dreams by robbing Mick Jagger�s Central Park apartment. Also new is �Help Me Help You,� starring Ted Danson in a comedy about a collection of eccentrics brought together in group therapy by a therapist with even more problems than those he hopes to help. Returning is �The Bachelor,� the ever popular romance reality series which will be set in one of the world�s romantic capitals, Rome, and will challenge a bachelor in search of the perfect woman. Returning as well is �Wife Swap,� based on the smash hit in the U.K., a reality series in which two women swap families for two weeks to see life from each other�s point of view.
Surprise summer sensation �Dancing with the Stars� is back to pair celebrities with world-class professional ballroom dancers for live competitions before a national television audience. Also returning is the American television institution �America�s Funniest Home Videos,� entering a seventeenth season of wildly funny video clips sent in by video buffs and judged by a studio audience.
The �ABC Sneak Peek� specials will be broadcast with Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.
