Music And Style Icon Elton John To Curate And Perform
Third Annual Concert Presented By Cond� Nast Media Group To Feature
Musical Performances By Christina Aguilera, Beyonc�, Bon Jovi, The Black Eyed Peas, Daddy Yankee, Jamie Foxx, Nelly Furtado, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, The Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Scissor Sisters and Kanye West
FASHION ROCKS�, an entertainment special celebrating the best in fashion and music presented by Cond� Nast Media Group, will kick off New York's Fall Fashion Week at Radio City Music Hall and will be broadcast, Friday, Sept. 8, 2006 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The third annual "Fashion Rocks�" is a star-studded concert that honors the extraordinary relationship between fashion and music and features a host of music's most glamorous trendsetters. The concert will include performances by Christina Aguilera, Beyonc�, Bon Jovi, The Black Eyed Peas, Daddy Yankee, Jamie Foxx, Nelly Furtado, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, The Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Scissor Sisters and Kanye West. Additional performers and presenters will be announced at a later date.

"Today, the worlds of fashion and music are merging faster then ever, with multiple artists capitalizing on this synergy by launching fashion lines of their own. 'Fashion Rocks�' celebrates this unique marriage and promises to be one of the most exciting shows of the year."
Music and style icon Elton John will serve as the curator of this year's special, bringing his inimitable sense of fashion and legendary music to the show through unexpected artist pairings, and paying homage to classic songs by today's freshest talent. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation, one of the world's leading nonprofit organizations supporting innovative HIV/AIDS prevention education programs and direct care services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
Beyonc� is a nine-time Grammy Award winner who shot to fame with the multi-platinum selling group Destiny's Child and who individually has sold over 11 million copies worldwide of her solo debut "Dangerously in Love." Her new album, B'Day, will be released worldwide on September 4, which is also her 25th birthday.
Three-time Grammy Award winner Christina Aguilera has sold over 15 million albums nationwide and is scheduled to release her new album in late August, whose first single, "Ain't No Other Man," is already climbing Billboard's Top 20 charts.
In the 20-plus years that they have been performing, Multiple Grammy Award nominee Bon Jovi has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and has countless hits to its credit.
The Black Eyed Peas are two-time Grammy Award winners and have sold over five million albums nationwide in the past two years alone.
With the release of their self-titled album PCD, The Pussycat Dolls have shot to fame, selling over a million copies of their album, scoring a number one hit with their song "Don't Cha" and touring the country with The Black Eyed Peas to sold-out arenas over the past year.
Rapper/producer Kanye West is a six-time Grammy Award winner who has sold over five million copies of his past two albums in the U.S. alone and was one of the top nominees at last year's Grammy awards with eight nominations total. His frequent collaborator, Jamie Foxx, is a two-time Grammy Award-nominated recording artist, an Academy Award-winning actor, and this year released a solo album that has sold over two million copies to date.
Latin Grammy winner Daddy Yankee is one of the most popular Reggaeton artists in the world credited with bringing the Latin rhythm to mainstream listeners and selling over three million albums across the U.S. over the past two years.
Rihanna has been topping the charts for the past year with the number one songs "Pon de Replay" and "S.O.S.," and her most recent single "Unfaithful" is already on Billboard's Top Ten list.
Twenty five-time platinum selling artist Faith Hill has won five Grammy Awards over the course of an impressive career, most recently winning Best Country Collaboration with Vocals with her husband, Tim McGraw. McGraw is also a multi-platinum selling artist with over 30 million albums sold in the U.S. alone and three Grammy Award wins to his credit.
Nelly Furtado is a Grammy Award-winning artist whose most recent single, "Promiscuous," is one of the top selling singles of the summer and has been on Billboard's Top 5 chart since its release.
With their fusion of rock, pop, and dance, the Scissor Sisters caught the world's attention with their Grammy-nominated cover of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb and have been touring across the U.S. and Europe, where they opened for Elton John.
