Grammy� Award Winner David Foster Is The Music Director
JCPENNEY JAM�THE CONCERT FOR AMERICA'S KIDS, a new entertainment special hosted by Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw featuring performances by top recording stars Mary J. Blige, Andrea Bocelli, Jon Bon Jovi, Chris Botti, Kenny Chesney, Peter Cincotti, 3 Doors down, Sara Evans, John Legend, Martina McBride, Renee Olstead, Alejandro Sanz and Sting, will be broadcast Tuesday, Aug. 22 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Grammy� Award winner David Foster will serve as music director.
Songs included in the special are "Next To You," by Sting, "Who Says You Can't Go Home," by Jon Bon Jovi and "Be Without You," by Mary J. Blige.
The concert, which will be taped at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 14, will feature these music stars in support of the JCPenney Afterschool Fund which addresses one of society's key issues: How to provide deserved opportunities and improve the chances of success for the 14 million children who are currently home alone when the school day ends.
As hosts, Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw will also talk with various artists to raise awareness of the importance of after school programs and their effect on young people.
JCPENNEY JAM�THE CONCERT FOR AMERICA'S KIDS is being produced by Executive Visions, Inc. Michael Marto is the executive producer; Charles Marto is the co-executive producer. Jim Gable and Steve Baggett are the producers; Gable will serve as the director and Baggett will serve as the writer.
