SECOND ROUND OF PERFORMERS AND PRESENTERS SET FOR THE "41ST ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS," TO BE BROADCAST LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS, MAY 23 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Kelly Clarkson, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride Set to Perform

Craig Ferguson ("The Late Late Show"), Emily Procter ("CSI: Miami") and Tony Stewart Set to Present

Kelly Clarkson, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride are set to perform on the 41ST ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, hosted by Reba McEntire, to be broadcast live from Las Vegas' MGM Grand, Tuesday, May 23 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. CBS' "The Late Late Show" host Craig Ferguson, "CSI: Miami" star Emily Procter and NASCAR's Tony Stewart are set to present. The event honors country music's top talent as well as the industry's hottest emerging talent.

These artists and presenters join previously announced performers Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, and Carrie Underwood, and previously announced presenters Dr. Phil & Robin McGraw and "Cold Case" star Kathryn Morris.

Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson, who has had four number one singles since winning "American Idol" two years ago, will join Rascal Flatts for a special performance. Brooks & Dunn are nominees for Entertainer of the Year, Top Vocal Duo this year and for Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year (all for "Believe"). The pair won Top Vocal Duo at last year's awards; it was their fifth straight victory in the category.

First-time nominee Miranda Lambert is nominated for Top New Female Vocalist and Video of the Year (for "Kerosene"). Martina McBride is nominated for Top Female Vocalist, an award she has won three times. She was also awarded the Academy of Country Music/The Home Depot Humanitarian Award recognizing her charitable endeavors in 2003.

Presenter Craig Ferguson has been the host of CBS' "The Late Late Show" since January 2005, and he recently published his bestselling first novel, Between the Bridge and the River. Also presenting is Emily Procter, who stars as ballistics expert Calleigh Duquesne in the hit CBS series "CSI: Miami." NASCAR great Tony Stewart will present the Academy of Country Music/The Home Depot Humanitarian Award to Vince Gill.

The Academy of Country Music was founded in 1964 with a mission to support, promote and enhance the advancement of the country music industry worldwide. The Academy, which is comprised of more than 4,000 professional members and a newly established Associate Membership, is headquartered in Burbank, Calif.

THE 41ST ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS is produced for television by dick clark productions. The show is executive produced by Allen Shapiro and R.A. Clark, and produced by Barry Adelman. The executive in charge of production is Bob Bardo, and the executive in charge is Fran LaMaina.
