AND SUGARLAND ARE SET TO PERFORM ON THE "41st ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS" TO BE BROADCAST LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS,
MAY 23 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

And Kathryn Morris ("Cold Case") are Set to Present
Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and Sugarland are set to perform, along with previously announced performers Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts, on the 41ST ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, hosted by Reba McEntire, to be broadcast live from Las Vegas' MGM Grand, Tuesday, May 23 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw, as well as "Cold Case" star Kathryn Morris, are set to present. The event honors country music's top talent as well as the industry's hottest emerging talent.
Toby Keith has won Entertainment of the Year honors twice, and is nominated in that category again this year. He is also nominated for Video of the Year for "As Good As I Once Was."
Last year's Academy of Country Music Awards' Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney, repeats as an Entertainer of the Year nominee this year in addition to his nomination for Top Male Vocalist. Chesney is the Academy's latest Triple Crown winner, given to those artists who have won in the one of the Top New categories, the Top Male or Top Female categories and Entertainer of the Year -- a feat only six artists have accomplished in the Academy's 41 year history.
Sugarland is nominated for five awards including Top Vocal Group, Top New Duo or Vocal Group, Album of the Year (Twice the Speed of Life), Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year (both for "Baby Girl").
Presenters Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife Robin, are best known for Dr. Phil's nationally syndicated one-hour series, "Dr. Phil," and the forthcoming book, Inside My Heart: Choosing to Live with Passion and Purpose. Also presenting is Kathryn Morris, who stars as homicide detective Lilly Rush in the hit CBS series, "Cold Case."
The Academy of Country Music was founded in 1964 with a mission to support, promote, and enhance the advancement of the country music industry worldwide. The Academy, which is comprised of more than 4,000 professional members and a newly established Associate Membership, is headquartered in Burbank, Calif.
THE 41ST ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS is produced for television by dick clark productions. The show is executive produced by Allen Shapiro and R.A. Clark, and produced by Barry Adelman. The executive in charge of production is Bob Bardo, and the executive in charge is Fran LaMaina.
