Heath Ledger stars in this epic story of a humble squire who defies both social ranking and circumstances to reach out and touch his dreams of becoming a champion jouster. With the help of his faithful friends Roland (Mark Addy) and Wat (Alan Tudyk) and the indelible tongue of Geoffrey Chaucer, William disguises himself as a foreign noble to compete in the European jousting tournaments. Shannyn Sossamon also stars as Jocelyn, the princess whose love and devotion, Williams hopes to earn. Brian Helgeland wrote and directed this Mid-evil tale of courage and honor.
