ABC�s NFL �Monday Night Football,� the most successful primetime series in television history, continues its 36th season with a classic AFC West battle as the 2-0 Kansas City Chiefs travel to Denver to take on the 1-1 Broncos. Kick-off from Invesco Field at Mile High is MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, at 9:00 p.m., ET, on the ABC Television Network.

The 2005 schedule continues on MONDAY, OCTOBER 3, as Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers travel to Charlotte to take on Julius Peppers and the Carolina Panthers.

COMMENTATORS:
Emmy Award-winning announcer Al Michaels is now in his 20th consecutive season as the play-by-play voice of �Monday Night Football.� Michaels, one of television�s most respected journalists, has appeared on live, primetime, over-the-air television more than anyone in the history of the medium.

Joining him for his fourth season on �MNF� is the legendary John Madden. Madden has won an unprecedented 14 Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Personality/Sports Event Analyst.

Sam Ryan will be the sideline reporter filling in for Michele Tafoya who is on maternity leave.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS VS. DENVER BRONCOS
SERIES
Denver and Kansas City meet for the 90th time in the regular season, with the Chiefs holding a 50-39 edge in the all-time series. The teams faced each other once in the postseason, with Denver winning 14-10 in that AFC Divisional Playoff contest at Arrowhead Stadium on Jan. 4, 1998. The Broncos and Chiefs face each other for the sixth time on �Monday Night Football,� with the Chiefs leading the �MNF� series over the Broncos 3-2. In the teams� most recent �Monday Night Football� game, Denver defeated Kansas City 30-7 on Nov. 16, 1998, at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City Chiefs (2-0, 1st Place in AFC West)
The Chiefs are 20-14 all-time on �Monday Night Football,� including 3-1 over the last two seasons. This is the Chiefs� only appearance on �MNF� this season.

Denver Broncos (1-1, 2nd Place in AFC West)
This is the Broncos� 14th consecutive season with an appearance on �MNF,� the longest current streak in the NFL. The Broncos are 22-29-1 all-time on �MNF� but have lost four of their last five games, including their only �MNF� appearance last season, to Cincinnati 23-10.

HEY DENVER: �ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?�
�MNF� will kick off the September 26 Chiefs vs. Broncos game with a �live open� in the stadium, featuring a choreographed fan presentation.

The legendary Broncos fans are the stars of this open, and the crowd at INVESCO Field at Mile High will be instructed � at approximately 6:30 p.m., local time � how to participate. Upon arriving at the stadium, each fan will be given props to participate in the �MNF� opening segment.

HALFTIME FEATURES:
Tim McGraw: �I Like it, I Love it�
In part of a season-long partnership, Grammy Award-winning superstar Tim McGraw teams with �MNF� for special musical halftime highlights throughout the 36th season of the series.

During each ABC game, the lyrics of �I Like it I Love it� will be rewritten to fit the halftime highlights. NFL Films will provide highlights for the �MNF� segment that have not previously been seen. McGraw and his band are recording a new version of the song to be used for �Monday Night Football.�

Jimmy Kimmel:
Throughout the season on �MNF,� talk show host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel will provide a halftime commentary. Kimmel�s commentary with be a 60-second take from the world of sports, news or pop-culture.
