NEW YORK, Feb. 1 -- CBS News will broadcast live coverage of President George W. Bush's State of the Union Address on Wednesday, Feb. 2 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Dan Rather will anchor from Washington, D.C. Joining him in the anchor booth will be Chief Washington Correspondent Bob Schieffer. CBS News Correspondent John Roberts will report from the White House and CBS News Correspondent Thalia Assuras will report from Capitol Hill. Also filing reports for the broadcast will be CBS News Correspondent Elizabeth Palmer from Baghdad on President Bush's foreign policy, CBS News Correspondent David Martin from the Pentagon, and on domestic policy, CBS News Correspondent Anthony Mason will report on the President's proposals for Social Security reform. The broadcast will also include the Democratic response, delivered by House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and U.S. Sen. Harry Reid. CBS News will also report on the results of an Instant Poll conducted with the help of Knowledge Networks, a Silicon Valley company, on how viewers reacted to key points in the President's speech. The live coverage will be broadcast in HDTV where available.
