With exclusive photographs, wedding day footage and personal interviews, "In Style Celebrity Weddings" shares moving love stories and lush style details -- from the most intricate wedding gowns to the most exotic wedding locations. This one-hour special will air THURSDAY, JANUARY 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Highlights of the special include:
Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner - Oscar-winning movie star Kevin Costner proposed to Christine Baumgartner at home, so it was only fitting they would wed at their 165-acre ranch in Aspen, Colorado. The couple turned to event planner Yifat Oren to plan every detail of the four-day extravaganza, down to the wooden aisle leading through a meadow to a riverbank platform where the vows were exchanged. The bride wore a custom gown by Monique L'Huillier and the groom dressed in a traditional tux by Ralph Lauren. Butterflies were released as a final touch to the open-air ceremony.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline - When Britney Spears and Kevin Federline decided to say "I do," they wanted to avoid all the hoopla and arranged to wed in a private, intimate affair. In front of only their immediate family and closet friends, Britney walked down the aisle in a dress designed by Monique L'Huillier. With exclusive photographs from the big day, Monique L'Huillier recounts how she and Britney worked together to design two different custom-made gowns.
Tori Spelling and Charlie Shanian - It was a scene straight out of one of her father's primetime dramas: a sprawling 45-room California mansion, more than three-hundred guests - each of them gorgeous - and a lovely bride clad in a custom-couture gown. But for Tori Spelling this was not another episode of "90210," but her real-life wedding to actor Charlie Shanian. The bride, groom and celebrity guests enjoyed a dinner of sweet-corn-and-mascarpone agnolotti, herb-crusted rack of lamb and lemon tarts - all created by Wolfgang Puck. After the sumptuous meal, guests crowded onto the dance floor where they moved to a medley of swing and contemporary tunes performed by an orchestra.
Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann - She's brash and outgoing, he's mellow and reserved. For Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, these personality differences could have torn them apart, but instead it brought them together. To celebrate their union, the couple treated guests, including Jodie Foster, Chad Lowe and Hilary Swank, to two days of festivities, including a moonlit beach party on the eve of their wedding. For the ceremony and reception, premier wedding planner Yifat Oren transformed a private California estate into an enchanted forest complete with a swan filled pond, vine covered arbor and centerpieces of dahlia, roses and fruit.
Kelis and Nas -- Nas is an established rapper, respected for his thoughtful lyrics on hip-hop culture. Kelis' hit single "Milkshake" exposed audiences to her eclectic mix of rock and R&B music. Their unlikely attraction led to a whirlwind courtship complete with his and hers outfits, matching jewelry and a romantic proposal by Nas in front of his father and Kelis' parents. The couple said their "I do's" at a Southern Baptist church in Atlanta, witnessed by guests Heidi Klum, Maxwell and Ludacris. Wedding planner Diann Valentine planned their lavish green and gold reception at a private Italian-styled villa. The bride wore a gown by Matthew Williams and the groom wore Yves Saint Laurent.
Mira Sorvino and Christopher Backus - A breathtaking seaside villa nestled on the Italian Isle of Capri served as the backdrop for the wedding of Mira Sorvino and actor Christopher Backus. The location seems to have inspired the theme of the wedding: the gown was designed by Italian designer Giorgio Armani, the usic was provided by an Italian folk troupe, and guests feasted on Italian delicacies such as prosciutto, mozzarella and lobster pasta. A moving rendition of "Ave Maria," performed by Sorvino's father, Paul, completed a ceremony which proved to be as charming and joyful as the new couple.
Scott Wolf and Kelley Limp - Despite their Hollywood pedigree - Wolf stars in "Everwood," while Limp is a veteran of MTV's "Real World New Orleans" - the couple chose the simple setting of Arkansas for their wedding nuptials. Fittingly, their reception was a marriage of decadent and down-home touches: guests feasted on fois gras and kir royales as donkeys walked by. The combination was a hit with family and friends who were still partying into the early morning hours.
Gena Lee Nolin and Cale Hulse - Starbucks can be an ideal place to start a day -- or a great love affair, as Gena Lee Nolin and Cale Hulse discovered. Their first date at the coffee shop ignited a yearlong relationship, which culminated in their emotional wedding at the majestic Royal Palms resort in Phoenix, Arizona. Hand-made iron candelabras, magnolia leaves and more than one hundred candles added a warm atmosphere to the family-themed wedding. The couple also kept their Midwest and Canadian families in mind when choosing a simple menu of roasted meats, seasoned potatoes and customized wedding cake (a combination of cheesecake, sponge cake and dark chocolate ganache).
Star Jones and Al Scales Reynolds - The wedding of television personality Star Jones to businessman Al Scales Reynolds was truly a first class event. More than 400 guests, including Hillary Clinton, Chris Rock, Kim Cattrall and Natalie Cole, witnessed the fairytale wedding of the woman who feels she's finally met her "prince charming."
