The Laugh-Packed Special Counts Down the Top 10
Blunder Classics in Major Sports and Not-So-Major Sports
Jim Belushi, star of ABC's "According to Jim," serves as tour guide of "ESPN's Blunderful World of Sports," a one-hour special featuring blunders that both surprise and amaze, and make the wide world of sports truly wonderful. The special airs MONDAY, DECEMBER 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 5/4/03)
Among those providing Belushi with an assist in counting down the top 10 blunder classics are Jason Sehorn, a 10-year veteran of the New York Giants, ESPN SportsCenter anchor Rich Eisen and Olympic freestyle skier Johnny Mosley. The blunders are from far and wide and range from players to spectators and all in between - no one is spared. There's baseball, football, soccer, basketball, skiing,
X Games, equestrian, gymnastics, bull fighting, rodeo and a few that are hard to describe.
Additionally, four-legged athletes lend their antics to the mix. And one sports announcer has the task of describing a horse race in which "Hoof Hearted" takes the lead and wins. Try saying "Hoof Hearted" three times fast to understand his problem.
"ESPN's Blunderful World of Sports" was directed by John Oliver and written by Jonathan Drubner. The special was created by BOP Films in association with ESPN Original Entertainment.
This program carries a TV-PG parental guideline.
