EVERYTHING BLENDS IN PERFECT HARMONY ON ABC'S "EXTREME MAKEOVER:
HOME EDITION," AS AWARD-WINNING SINGER LEANN RIMES WELCOMES
THE MUSIC-LOVING COX FAMILY BACK TO THEIR BRAND NEW HOME
"Cox Family" - For years John Cox traveled worldwide to help churches and organizations. Meanwhile, to support her dedicated husband's endeavors, his wife, Wendy, quit her job as a nurse to stay at home and care for their three young daughters. When he received a permanent position as a youth minister, John was able to buy his family their very first home. Now their humble abode in Simi Valley, California, has received a complete renovation and been transformed into a real dream house, courtesy of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," airing TUESDAY, AUGUST 17 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 2/22/04)
Editors please note: This program replaces the episodes of "My Wife and Kids" and "According to Jim" which had been scheduled for this time.
In addition to the many changes to their home, the Cox family, who enjoy inspirational music and sing together whenever they get the chance, were amazed when award-winning singer LeAnn Rimes greeted them with a musical surprise as they returned to their totally renovated home.
While John and Wendy Cox and their three daughters - Shaina, 14, Hannah, 8, and three-year-old Nicole -- enjoyed a seven-day vacation at Disney World, their entire house - every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping -- was undergoing a total reconstruction by the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" design team, 100 workmen and countless helpful neighbors.
The "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" design team features Ty Pennington, Paul DiMeo, Tracy Hutson, Michael Moloney, Constance Ramos and Preston Sharp.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. The series is executive-produced by Tom Forman and Craig Armstrong.
