DESCRIPTION:
(from VH1's web site, September 2008) Push It. Let's Talk About Sex. Shoop. Whatta Man. The songs are legendary. Twelve million records sold. Grammy for Best Rap Performance (the first ever by female rappers). Three MTV Video Music Awards. Then, in 2002, at the height of their success, Salt-N-Pepa called it quits. No one was ever quite sure why. Rumors circulated that Salt had found God. Or that Pepa wanted to pursue an acting career. Even as the speculation grew, the girls remained silent. Until now. On The Salt-N-Pepa Show the two ladies are going to give it one more shot. But that's easier said than done. Most of their issues are still unresolved. Salt's still mad cause she thinks she did all the work -- and was never appreciated. Pep's still angry that Salt broke up the group -- and that she did it by calling Pep in the middle of a pedicure! And, believe it or not, they have never spoken to each other about why they broke up in the first place. Sandy's still a party girl and is up for anything. She appeared in The Surreal Life (Season 5) and was voted the most popular member of a cast that included Janice Dickinson, Jose Conseco and Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth. She desperately wants to re-capture the glamour and glory of the old days. Meanwhile Cheryl's life has gone in a completely different direction. She lives a quiet life in Long Island where she shunned the spotlight and has devoted much of her life to God. Most importantly she's not sure if she's going to be able to reconcile the group's old attitude with her newfound spirituality. It all brings up questions like, can they overcome their past differences? Will they be able to heal their friendship? Will God allow them to still push it on stage? And of course, can they work together again without killing each other? It's the Odd Couple, but with women... who rap... oh, and it's completely real. Hold on tight, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.
