Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Tops Broadcast Charts with "American Idol"

Here are the highlights of the 18 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/28/19):

ABC (6.383 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) was the top broadcast draw on Sunday with its mix of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (5.680 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2), "American Idol" (7.877 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) and "Shark Tank" (4.096 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3).

NBC (2.872 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then claimed the silver with a repeat "Ellen's Game of Games" (2.369 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12) followed by originals from "World of Dance" (3.362 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) and "Good Girls" (2.396 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).

Next up was CBS (6.103 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) with a new "60 Minutes" (9.057 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3), the debut of "The Red Line" (5.200 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12), a second "The Red Line" (4.524 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14) and the relocated "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.628 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.592 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) offered up repeats of "The Simpsons" (1.087 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14) and "Bob's Burgers" (1.144 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14) followed by new episodes of "The Simpsons" (1.915 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #8), "Bob's Burgers" (1.828 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) and "Family Guy" (1.960 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) plus a repeat "Family Guy" (1.619 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).
