Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "Roseanne" Still Potent in Week Two for ABC

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/3/18):

ABC (6.563 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was the demo champ on Tuesday with week two of "Roseanne" (15.159 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1) followed by the relocated "The Middle" (8.322 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) and originals from "Black-ish" (5.419 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4), "Splitting Up Together" (4.840 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5) and "For the People" (2.820 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11).

CBS (10.534 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) then was the most-watched broadcaster with its trio of "NCIS" (12.079 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #6), "Bull" (11.022 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #7) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (8.502 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9).

Next up was NBC (6.670 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) and its lineup of "The Voice" (9.316 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3), "Rise" (4.543 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9) and "Chicago Med" (6.154 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.891 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up a repeat "Lethal Weapon" (1.838 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14) plus a new "LA to Vegas" (2.037 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12) and the season finale of "The Mick" (1.850 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12).

And finally, a repeat "The Flash" (0.941 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.2, #16) and a new "Black Lightning" (1.484 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14) closed out the night on The CW (1.212 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households); CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night" (0.3/3 in 18-49); "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (4/4/17):

CBS (11.108 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) was the most-watched network on Tuesday with fresh installments of "NCIS" (13.451 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2), "Bull" (10.984 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (8.889 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9).

NBC (6.375 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) however shared in the top demo honors with its mix of "The Voice" (9.339 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1), "Trial & Error" (4.142 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10), another "Trial & Error" (3.189 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T14) and "Chicago Fire" (6.121 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4).

Next up was FOX (2.924 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with the season finale of "New Girl" (2.010 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10), a new "The Mick" (2.108 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13) and the return of "Prison Break" (3.789 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2).
