UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Feb. 4, 2014 - For the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2, NBC averaged a 1.3 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. Versus the same week last year, NBC is up 8% in 18-49 rating (1.3 vs. 1.2) and up 23% in total viewers (4.7 million vs. 3.9 million).

NBC's top-rated shows of the week in 18-49 included: Monday's "The Blacklist" (tied for #11), Wednesday's "Law & Order: SVU" (tied for #15), Thursday's "Saturday Night Live" special (tied for #21) and Tuesday's "The Biggest Loser" and Wednesday's "Chicago P.D." (tied for #24, rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows).

"The Blacklist" was the week's #1 drama on the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49 and "Law & Order: SVU" tied for #2.

For the season, NBC's 2.8 rating in adults 18-49 matches the net's top average at this point in the season in five years (since a 3.1 in 2008-09).

Through 19 weeks of the season, NBC is running within a tenth of a rating point of #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and is #1 in women 18-49.

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season with an average of 9.0 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 19 weeks into the season in seven years (since 2006-07, 9.8 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 12% season to date in total viewers (9.0 million vs. 8.1 million).

Primetime averages for the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2 in adults 18-49 are: Fox, 10.5/27; CBS, 1.5/4; NBC, 1.3/3; ABC, 1.2/3; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: Fox, 30.1 million; CBS, 7.8 million; NBC, 4.7 million; ABC, 4.6 million; and CW, 1.7 million.

Season-to-date averages are: Fox, 2.9/8; NBC, 2.8/8; CBS, 2.6/7; ABC, 2.1/6; and CW, 0.8/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 11.3 million; NBC, 9.0 million; Fox, 8.6 million; ABC, 7.5 million; and CW, 1.9 million.

NBC highlights for the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2:

Monday: "Hollywood Game Night" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) matched the "HGN" series record in adults 18-49 and rose 17% week to week to break the prior week's series record in total viewers (5.495 million vs. 4.715 million). Versus its second week last summer, the 8 p.m. "Hollywood Game Night" was up 25% in 18-49 rating (with a 1.5 vs. a 1.2 on July 18, 2013) and up 40% in total viewers (5. 5 million vs. 3.9 million). From 9-10 p.m. ET, a second edition of "Hollywood Game Night" averaged a 1.3/3 in 18-49 and 4.6 million viewers overall, to top the prior week's 9 p.m. telecast in total viewers by 8% (4.6 million vs. 4.2 million).

"The Blacklist" (2.5/7 in adults 18-49, 10.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) jumped week to week by 9% in 18-49 rating (to a 2.5 from a 2.3) and by 15% or 1.3 million persons in total viewers (10.171 million vs. 8.832 million) to capture the night's #1 drama results in both categories. "The Blacklist" ranked #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and ABC in adults 18-49 and all other key measures. "The Blacklist" grew from its first half-hour to its second for the first time in adults 18-49 (to a 2.6 from a 2.5) and total viewers (10.3 million vs. 10.0 million).

L+3 Time-Shifting: Last week's "Blacklist" set a new all-time record for biggest "live plus three-day" viewer increase on U.S. broadcast or cable television, growing by 5.628 million viewers versus that night's "live plus same day" result from Nielsen Media Research (to 15.799 million vs. 10.171 million). That broke the record set by "The Blacklist" one week earlier of a 5.430 million increase (to 14.262 million vs. 8.832 million). "The Blacklist" has now delivered the eight biggest total-viewer increases of all time going from L+SD to L+3 results. In adults 18-49, the Jan. 27 "Blacklist" jumped 68% or 1.72 rating points, from a 2.54 to a 4.25.

L+7 Time-Shifting: The Jan. 13 "Blacklist" is the seventh episode to jump by more than 6 million viewers going from next-day "live plus same day" ratings to "live plus seven day," with an increase of 6.060 million (to 15.408 million from 9.348 million). In adults 18-49, the Jan. 13 "Blacklist" was the week's #1 regularly schedule drama on the Big 4 nets in L+7 (excludes Sunday's post-NFL preview of "The Following"), growing 1.93 rating points or 76% from a 2.54 rating to a 4.47.

Tuesday: NBC ranked #1 Tuesday night in adults 18-49, with "The Biggest Loser" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) winning its time period in adults 18-49 and scoring the night's #1 non-news rating among the Big 4 networks. "The Biggest Loser" also won its hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demographics.

From 10:20-10:32 p.m. ET, NBC News' analysis of President Obama's State of the Union Address averaged a 1.7/5 in adults 18-49, a 2.1 rating in adults 25-54 and 6.7 million viewers overall, to rank #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in that time period in those three measures. From 10:46-11 p.m., an encore "Hollywood Game Night," joined in progress, averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall to finish #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 in that abbreviated time period

Wednesday: "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.0/5 in adults 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) grew week to week in 18-49 and total viewers for a second straight week and ranked #2 in the time period among the Big 4 in all key measures. Versus one week earier, "SVU" was up 11% in 18-49 rating (2.0 vs. 1.8) and up 14% in total viewers (7.592 million vs. 6.683 million) and versus two weeks ago, last night's "SVU" is up 43% in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.4) and up 40% in total viewers (7. 592 million vs. 5.435 million).

"Chicago P.D." (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) was also up in 18-49 and total viewers for a second week in a row and ranked #1 in the 10 p.m. hour in both measures among ABC, CBS and NBC. "Chicago P.D." is the first new drama on the Big 4 this season to grow with two of its first three telecasts that followed the show's debut. "Chicago P.D." was up versus the prior week by 6% in 18-49 rating (1.7 vs. 1.6) and up versus two weeks ago by 13% (1.7 vs. 1.5). In total viewers, the Jan. 29 episode was up 10% versus the prior week (6.886 million vs. 6.236 million) and up 25% versus two week ago (6.886 million vs. 5.505 million). In its first four weeks on the schedule, "Chicago P.D." has generated NBC's four best 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period, excluding "Saturday Night Live" specials, since Sept. 25, 2013.

L+3 Time Shifting: Last week's editions of NBC's Wednesday dramas were all significantly time-shifted: "Revolution" grew by 47% in 18-49 going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings to "live plus three day" (to a 1.87 from a 1.27), "SVU" grew by 44% (2.83 vs. 1.96) and "Chicago P.D." increased by 53% (2.54 vs. 1.66). The growth of 0.88 of a rating point for "Chicago P.D." is its biggest L+3 increase among four telecasts to date.

Thursday: Despite facing original competition from CBS's "Big Bang Theory" for the first time in three weeks, "Community" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) matched its 18-49 ratings of the prior two weeks. L+7 Time-Shifting: This season's first two weeks of "Community" have added an average 38% or 0.50 of a rating point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating in "live plus seven day" results (to a 1.83 in L+7 from a 1.33 L+SD).

"Parks and Recreation" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8:30-9 p.m. ET) earned its highest 18-49 rating since Jan. 9 and was up week to week by 8% in 18-49 rating (with a 1.3 rating vs. a 1.2) and up 2% in total viewers (3.026 million vs. 2.975 million). "Parks" built on its "Community" lead-in by 18% in adults 18-49. L+7 Time-Shifting: In the fourth quarter, "Parks and Rec" increased by an average of 50% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.2) and 1.0 million viewers overall (4.1 million vs. 3.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7 ratings.

"Saturday Night Live Presents a SNL Sports Spectacular" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m.) scored NBC's highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period since the Dec. 5 telecast of "The Sound of Music Live!" Excluding that special and NFL football on Thanksgiving, it was NBC's best performance in the slot since Sept. 26. In the time period, "SNL Sports Spectacular" ranked #2 in adults 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox and #1 among those nets in adults, men and women 18-34. It was the #2 primetime "SNL" special so far this season among six telecast thus far.

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) improved on its results for the same night last year by 9% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.1 from 10-11 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2013), by 13% in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and by 36% or 1.6 million persons in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 4.4 million). "Dateline NBC" grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 40% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.0), 36% in adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.4) and 31% or more than 1.5 million persons in total viewers (6.6 million vs. 5.1 million). "Dateline" generated successive increases during each half-hour in all three measures.

Saturday: NBC ranked #1 among the Big 4 networks in 18-49 Saturday night as the 8-10 p.m. Jimmy Fallon encore special grabbed NBC's top non-sports rating in the time period in 16 months abd the 10 p.m. "SNL" encore delivered the best numbers yet among 31 "SNL" rebroadcasts to air in the slot so far this season and last. NBC generated its biggest non-sports Saturday in 18-49 since Sept. 15, 2012.

An encore telecast of the NBC Special "Best of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Primetime Special" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) earned NBC's best 18-49 rating in the slot, excluding sports since Sept. 15, 2012 ("Voice" encore). In the time slot, "Best of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Primetime Special" tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and was #1 outright among those nets in total viewers. The "Late Night" encore special grew dramatically throughout its two hours, with this half-hour by half-hour 18-49 track: 0.7, 0.8, 1.0, 1.3.

A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live," with host Jonah Hill and musical guest Bastille (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) delivered best-yet 18-49 and total-viewer results since these 10 p.m. rebroadcasts were initiated in December 2012, covering 17 encores last season and 14 so far this season. In the time period, the 10 p.m. "SNL" encore is #1 in adults 18-49 versus original competition on ABC and CBS.

The 10 p.m. "SNL" rebroadcast is the #1 primetime telecast on the Big 4 for the night in adults 18-49.
