UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Dec. 3, 2013 - NBC has finished #1 in adults 18-49 for the primetime week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1, with a lineup that included five of the week's top eight primetime telecasts on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox in the key 18-49 demo. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research for the week, NBC averaged a 2.9 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49 and 9.5 million viewers overall.

NBC's 2.9 rating in 18-49 is the highest for any network in the last five weeks, since Fox ran four World Series games during the week of Oct. 21-27. NBC has now finished #1 or tied for #1 during nine of ten weeks this season, finishing #2 only once during Fox's World Series week.

Thursday's Steelers-Ravens primetime NFL coverage from NBC Sports ranked #1 for the week among Big 4 primetime programs in all key categories - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

The Thursday telecast teamed with this week's regular "Sunday Night Football" coverage of the Giants and Redskins to rank both #1 and #2 among the week's primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54, all key adult-male demos and teens 12-17.

NBC accounted for five of the week's top eight primetime programs on the Big 4 with Thursday's Steelers-Ravens game (#1), Sunday's Giants-Redskins game (#2), Monday's "The Voice" (#4), Monday's "The Blacklist" (tied for #6) and Tuesday's "Voice" (tied for #6). Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows. "The Blacklist" was the week's #1 drama on the Big 4 in 18-49, as well as adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key demos.

Through 10 weeks of the new season, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and is also #1 in every other key demo - adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54, including a tie with CBS in women 25-54.

NBC leads the season by 0.5 of a rating point (with a 3.2 vs. second-place CBS's 2.7), the biggest margin for any network 10 weeks into the season in 11 years (since NBC led by 0.7 of a point in 2002).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season, its highest total-viewer ranking 10 weeks into a season in nine years (since 2004). NBC's season average of 9.9 million viewers is its biggest overall audience 10 weeks into the season in seven years (since 2006, 10.3 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 11% season to date in total viewers (9.9 million vs. 8.9 million).

Primetime averages for the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1 in adults 18-49 are: NBC, 2.9/9; CBS, 2.3/7; ABC, 1.4/4; Fox, 1.2/4; and CW, 0.5/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 9.6 million; NBC, 9.5 million; ABC, 7.0 million; Fox, 3.7 million; and CW, 1.4 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 3.2/9; CBS, 2.7/8; ABC, 2.5/7; Fox, 2.4/7; and CW, 0.9/3. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 12.0 million; NBC, 9.9 million; ABC, 8.8 million; Fox, 7.2 million; and CW, 2.1 million.

November Sweep: The Nov. 25-Dec. 1 week included the final three nights of the November sweep, which NBC won in adutls 18-49 for a second year in a row. It's the first time in 10 years, since 2002 and 2003, that NBC has won two November sweeps in a row. NBC also ranked #1 for the sweep among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-34, adults 25-54, men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 and women 18-34 and 18-49, according to "live plus same day" results from Nielsen Media Research.

With all 28 nights counted in the November sweep, NBC topped sweep runner-up CBS by 0.4 of a point or 18% in L+SD averages, the biggest percentage advantage for any network in a November sweep since NBC won by 19% in 2002. In ratings points, the 0.4 margin equals the biggest for any network in a November sweep in four years (since Fox won by 0.5 in 2009).

NBC's total-viewer average of 8.2 million is the network's top result for a November sweep in six years (since averaging 8.5 million in 2007, L+SD). Versus last year, NBC is up 5% in total viewers versus November 2012.

For the November sweep, NBC's "Sunday Night Football" ranked as the #1 primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, averaging an average 8.6 rating in "live plus same day." "The Voice" (3.6 with its Monday edition) was the #1 unscripted series of the sweep and "The Blacklist" (3.0) was the #1 new series and #1 drama. "SNF" was the #1 primetime show of the sweep on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key category - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers - as well as kids 2-11 and teens 12-17.

NBC highlights for the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1:

Monday: NBC won six of six half-hours among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox Monday night in adults 18-49, with the #1 and #2 shows of the night on the those nets, "The Voice" and "The Blacklist."

"The Voice" (3.4 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49, 11.5 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) won the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key demographic. Versus its comparable fourth live Monday episode of the prior cycle "The Voice" is up 6% in 18-49 (3.4 vs. 3.2 on May 27) and up 5% total viewers (11.520 million vs. 10.999 million)..

"The Blacklist" (3.0/8 in adults 18-49, 11.0 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) ranked #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and every other key demographic, with a margin of 43% in adults 18-49 versus ABC's #2 "Castle" (3.0 vs. 2.1). "The Blacklist" is the #2 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and the #1 scripted show on those nets. "The Blacklist" matched its previous rating (3.0 on Nov. 11), despite the prior week's preemption, and equaled its top rating since Oct. 28 (3.1). In total viewers, it's the top "Blacklist" since Oct. 7 (11.2 million).

L+3: The Nov. 25 "Blacklist" grew in "live plus three day" ratings by 52% or 1.59 rating points in 18-49 (to a 4.62 from a 3.03) and by more than 5 million viewers overall (to 16.0 million from 11.0 million.

Tuesday: "The Biggest Loser" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 6.6 viewers overall from 8-9 p.m.) jumped 5% week to week in 18-49 rating (to a 2.0 from a 1.9) and 2% in total viewers (6.6 million vs. 6.5 million) to three-week highs in both categories (best since Nov. 5). Last week's "Biggest Loser" grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including a gain of 17% in adults 18-49 (to a 2.1 from a 1.8).

"The Voice" (3.0/8 in 18-49, 10.3 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) tied as the #1 show of the night in 18-49 with CBS's special "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and was the #1 show in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and adults and women 25-54. "The Voice" topped ABC's special competition of the "Dancing With the Stars" finale in all key demos.

"Chicago Fire" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew 11% versus its 18-49 rating of one week earlier (to a 2.1 from a 1.9).

Wednesday: "The Making of The Sound of Music Live!" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers. The NBC Special held steady or grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key demographic.

"Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) scored NBC's highest adult 18-49 rating in the time period in eight weeks (since Oct. 2). The "SNL" special ranked #2 in the time slot among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key measures.

Thursday: NBC Sports' coverage of the Thanksgiving night game featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Baltimore Ravens (6.9/23 in 18-49, 21.1 million viewers overall 8:31-11:42 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key ratings category, leading NBC to the nightlong win in 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures. The Steelers-Ravens game grew versus last year's Thanksgiving primetime game by 10% in total viewers (21.1 million vs. 19.2 million).

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) reported its highest ratings in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (1.8) since Oct. 25 and set a season high in total viewers. Versus the prior week, "Dateline" was up 9% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 rating from a 1.1), up 20% in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.5) and up 30% in total viewers (7.1 million vs. 5.5 million). "Dateline" won the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers and was #2 in 18-49 and 25-54.

"Grimm" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall at 9 p.m. ET) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. L+7: The Nov. 1 "Grimm" generated a lift of 71% or 1.07 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 2.58 from 1.51).

"Dracula" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall at 10 p.m. ET) matched its prior two 18-49 ratings on Nov. 15 and Nov. 8, despite last week's preemption and this week's holiday distractions. L+7: The Nov. 1 "Dracula" delivered an increase of 69% or 0.88 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 2.16 from 1.28).

Saturday: A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live," with host Josh Hutcherson and musical guest HAIM (0.8/2 in 18-49, 2.5 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET), equaled the show's season high in this time period in adults 18-49. The 10 p.m. "SNL" encore grew from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including gains of 29% in adults 18-49 (to a 0.9 rating from a 0.7), 25% in adults 25-54 (1.0 vs. 0.8) and 75% in adults 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.4).

From 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The National Dog Show Presented by Purina" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's top total-viewer result in the time period this season, since Sept. 28.

Sunday: "Sunday Night Football" (6.2/16 in 18-49, 17.7 million viewers overall from 8:31-11:20 p.m. ET), featuring the New York Giants at the Washington Redskins, ranked #1 for the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key demographic - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

Thirteen weeks into the NFL season, "Sunday Night Football" is delivering the strongest "live plus same day" total-viewer average for a primetime NFL series (22.1 million, L+SD) at this point in the season in 17 years (since ABC's Monday coverage in 1996, 23.7 million).
