FOX Weekly Ratings - "The Simpsons 500th Episode" and "American Idol" Power a Weekly Win

"THE SIMPSONS 500th EPISODE" AND "AMERICAN IDOL" POWER A WEEKLY WIN FOR FOX

Thanks to two strong nights of AMERICAN IDOL and the landmark 500th episode of THE SIMPSONS, FOX ranked No. 1 last week and dominated the next highest rated network by +16% among Adults 18-49, +53% among Adults 18-34 and +90% among Teens. In addition, FOX delivered the top-rated show of the week with AMERICAN IDOL. In fact, last Thursday's AMERICAN IDOL posted the show's biggest Live + 3 Day ratings percentage gain (+22%) in AMERICAN IDOL history.

Overall, FOX had 5 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-49, 10 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-34 and 9 of the Top 20 programs on television among Teens, excluding sports. Season to date, FOX is averaging a 3.3/9 in the core adult demographic and remains firmly in first place this midseason.

Key highlights for the week:

· The final installment of AMERICAN IDOL's Hollywood Week propelled FOX to a dominant win on Wednesday night across virtually all key demos.

· AMERICAN IDOL (6.1/16) remained stable with its previous Wednesday delivery and was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens.

· AMERICAN IDOL beat the No. 2 program of the night by +30% in the core adult demo and +55% in Total Viewers.

· In Total Viewers, AMERICAN IDOL beat Monday's episode of The Voice by +16% (18.9 vs. 16.3 Mil.) AMERICAN IDOL also showed an advantage of +2% among Adults 18-49 (6.1 vs. 6.0).

· Overall on Wednesday, FOX beat the next highest rated network by +110% in Adults 18-49 (6.1 vs. 2.9 for CBS) and +66% in Total Viewers (18.9 vs. 11.4 for CBS).

· Thursday's two-hour AMERICAN IDOL "Performance Challenge" in Vegas episode gave FOX another nightly victory among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers and virtually all key demographics. In fact, FOX beat the No. 2 network for the night (CBS) by +55% among Adults 18-49 and +26% in Total Viewers.

· AMERICAN IDOL delivered a 5.1/14 on Thursday night and was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49 (tied with Big Bang Theory), Total Viewers and Teens.

· In addition, AMERICAN IDOL beat the No. 2 program of the night (Big Bang Theory) by +7% in Total Viewers.

· FOX claimed a victory on Sunday night among Adults 18-34 and Teens, led by THE SIMPSONS 500th episode (2.6/7), which was up +30% from the previous week in the core demographic.

With television usage down -7% on Valentine's Day versus the previous week, FOX ranked second among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-34 and Teens on Tuesday.

FOX delivered the top two highest rated programs of the night among Adults 18-34 and Teens with GLEE and NEW GIRL.

At 8pm GLEE posted a 2.8/8 and was the highest rated program of the night in Teens. GLEE won its hour among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

NEW GIRL followed with a 3.1/8 and was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-34. NEW GIRL won its 9pm half hour among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

At 9:30pm, RAISING HOPE posted a 2.1/5 and won the 9:30pm half hour among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

WEDNESDAY

8:00-10:00 AMERICAN IDOL: (Adults 18-49: 6.1/16, 18.9 Mil Total Viewers)

With a two-hour AMERICAN IDOL, FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens. In fact, FOX outperformed its nearest competitor for the night by +110% in Adults 18-49 (6.1 vs. 2.9 for CBS) and +66% in Total Viewers (18.9 vs. 11.4 for CBS).

The third episode of Hollywood Week on AMERICAN IDOL posted a 6.1/16, same as the previous week.

AMERICAN IDOL was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens and outperformed the #2 programs of the night by +30% in Adults 18-49 (6.1 vs. 4.7 for Modern Family) and +55% in Total Viewers (18.9 vs. 12.2 Mil for Criminal Minds).

In Total Viewers, AMERICAN IDOL beat Monday's episode of The Voice by +16% (18.9 vs. 16.3 Mil.) AMERICAN IDOL also showed an advantage of +2% among Adults 18-49 (6.1 vs. 6.0).

A two-hour AMERICAN IDOL "Performance Challenge" in Vegas episode gave FOX the nightly victory among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens. In fact, FOX outperformed the #2 network for the night, CBS, by +55% in Adults 18-49 (5.1 vs. 3.3) and +26% in Total Viewers (16.7 vs. 13.3 Mil.)

AMERICAN IDOL delivered a 5.1/14 on Thursday night and was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49 (tie with Big Bang Theory), Total Viewers and Teens. In addition, IDOL beat the No. 2 program of the night (Big Bang Theory) by +7% in Total Viewers (16.7 vs. 15.6 Mil.).

AMERICAN IDOL grew in its last half hour over its first by +13% in Adults 18-49 (5.2 vs. 4.6) and +11% in Total Viewers (16.9 vs. 15.2 Mil.)

FAMILY GUY at 9pm drew a 2.8/7, up +12% from the previous week (2.5/5) and won its half hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens. FAMILY GUY was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-34 and Teens. AMERICAN DAD closed out the night with a 2.2/5, up +22% vs. the previous week (1.8/4).

At 7pm an encore BOB'S BURGERS posted a 0.6/2 followed by an original THE CLEVELAND SHOW which drew a 1.2/3.
