NBC RESULTS FOR THE PRIMETIME WEEK OF JAN. FEB. 14-20

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - February 23, 2011 - Paced by "The Office," "The Biggest Loser" and "Law & Order: SVU," NBC averaged a 1.6 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.5 million viewers overall for the week of February 14-20, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Primetime averages for the week of February 14-20 in adults 18-49 were Fox (3.5/10), CBS (2.5/7), ABC (2.0/6), NBC (1.6/5) and CW (0.8/2). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (11.2 million), Fox (9.6 million), ABC (6.6 million), NBC (5.5 million) and CW (1.8 million).

NBC highlights for the week of February 14-20

* On Tuesday, "The Biggest Loser: Couples" gained 39 percent in adults 18-49 and 28 percent in total viewers from its first half-hour to its fourth. "Loser" ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in adults 25-54, total viewers and other measures in a time period that included competition from Fox's "Glee," CBS's "NCIS" and "NCIS: LA" and ABC's "No Ordinary Family" and "V."

* Also on Tuesday, "Parenthood" ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in its time period in adults 18-49, finishing within a tenth of a rating point of #1, and was #1 in adults, men and women 18-34.

* On Wednesday, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in all key measures, including adults 18-49 and total viewers. "SVU" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 10 percent in adults 18-49 and 9 percent in total viewers while rival dramas on ABC and CBS declined half-hour to half-hour in both measures.

* On Thursday, "The Office" finished within 1 share of #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 in adults 18-34 and all key male demographics in a time period that included competition from ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS's "CSI" and Fox's "Bones," which benefitted from an "American Idol" lead-in.

* Among all primetime programs this week, "The Office" ranked #12 (tied) in adults 18-49, #5 in adults 18-34 and #2 in men 18-34, behind only the Wednesday edition of "American Idol."

* "30 Rock" on Thursday ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults and men 18-34 versus ABC's "Private Practice" and CBS's "The Mentalist." In its five weeks with original episodes in the Thursday 10-10:30 p.m. ET half-hour, "30 Rock" has generated NBC's five highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period this season.

* On Friday, "Dateline NBC" reported week-to-week increases of 14 percent in adults 18-49 rand 19 percent in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its fourth, the two-hour "Dateline" grew by 46 percent in adults 18-49 and 26 percent or 1.5 million persons in total viewers.

* On Sunday, the special "Saturday Night Live Backstage" scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating and total-viewer results in the time period in the five weeks since the January 16 telecast of the Golden Globes.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of February 14-20:

On Monday, Feb. 14 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Chuck" averaged a 1.7 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.5 million viewers overall. It's worth noting that through the first 18 weeks of the season, "Chuck" has added an average 26 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure

Monday at 9 p.m. ET, "The Cape" averaged a 1.2/3 in 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall. "The Cape" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 8 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a .1.2). "The Cape" has added an average 24 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure.

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Harry's Law" averaged a 1.7/5 in 18-49 and 8.5 million viewers overall. "Harry's Law" maintained its 18-49 rating from its first half-hour to its second and increased slightly in total viewers (to 8.530 million from 8.493 million), while rival dramas "Castle" on ABC and "Hawaii Five-0" on CBS declined half-hour to half-hour in both measures.

Since its debut on January 17, "Harry's Law" has earned NBC's five best 18-49 ratings in the time period since November 1, 2010 and attracted the network's five biggest overall audiences in the slot, excluding Olympics, in 16 months (since September 14, 2009). The February 14 "Harry's Law" was up 13 percent in 18-49 rating (1.7 vs. 1.5) and up 67 percent in total viewers (8.511 million vs. 5.103 million) versus NBC's non-sports average in this slot during the traditional 2009-10 season.

On Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser: Couples" averaged a 2.7/8 in adults 18-49 and 7.7 million viewers overall in a time period that included competition from Fox's "Glee," CBS's "NCIS" and "NCIS: LA" and ABC's "No Ordinary Family" and "V." "Biggest Loser" ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in the two-hour time period in adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Biggest Loser" gained 39 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 3.2 rating from a 2.3), 39 percent in adults 25-54 (3.9 vs. 2.8) and 28 percent or more than 1.9 million persons in total viewers (to 8.9 million from 6.9 million). By its final half-hour from 9:30-10 p.m., "Loser" pulled to within a tenth of a rating point of the time-period lead in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 in adults 18-34, women 18-34, women 18-49 and women 25-54 (tied).

Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Parenthood" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, within a tenth of a rating point of #1, and was #1 in adults, men and women 18-34.

These "Parenthood" results are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen issues "live plus seven day" results for the week of February 14-20. Through the season's first 18 weeks, "Parenthood" added an average 43 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" ratings to its "live plus seven day" results. On a percentage basis, "Parenthood" is the #1 biggest gainer in going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven" among all primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW. In total viewers, "Parenthood" is also the #1 biggest gainer in terms of percentage increase in going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day," adding an average 37 percent.

On Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "Minute To Win It" averaged a 1.0/3 in adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall in a fiercely competitive time period that included Fox's two-hour "American Idol," CBS's premiere of "Survivor" and an original "Criminal Minds" and ABC's "Modern Family" and week two of "Mr. Sunshine."

On Wednesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.2/7 in adults 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in all key measures, including adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and total viewers.

From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew by 10 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.3 from a 2.1) and 9 percent in total viewers (to 7.632 million from 6.981 million), while rival dramas on ABC and CBS declined half-hour to half-hour in both measures.

Through the first 18 weeks of the season, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" added an average 28 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure. In total viewers, "SVU" has added an average 19 percent or more than 1.6 million persons in going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day."

On Thursday, Feb. 17 from 8-8:30 p.m. ET, "Community" delivered a 1.8/5 in 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall in a highly competitive time period that included Fox's "American Idol," CBS's "Big Bang Theory" and ABC's "Winter Wipeout." Week-to-week, "Community" was flat in 18-49 rating and up 8 percent in total viewers (4.106 million vs. 3.808 million). Through the first 18 weeks of the season, "Community" added an average 25 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure, making it the #4 biggest gainer on a percentage basis among half-hour comedies, behind only "The Office," "Modern Family" and "30 Rock."

Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET, "Perfect Couples" averaged a 1.4/4 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall. In the time period, "Perfect Couples" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults and men 18-34.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "The Office" (3.3/9 in adults 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall) finished within 1 share of #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 in adults 18-34, men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54 (tie) in a time period that included competition from ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS's "CSI" and Fox's "Bones," which benefitted from an "American Idol" lead-in.

These results for "The Office" are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen issues "live plus seven day" results for the week of February 14-20. Through the first 18 weeks of the season, "The Office" added an average 31 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure. On a percentage basis, "The Office" is tied as the #1 biggest gainer from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven, " tied with "Modern Family," among all half-hour comedies on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

Thursday from 9:31-10 p.m. ET, "Parks and Recreation" averaged a 2.2/6 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall. In the time period, "Parks" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in men 18-34 and men 18-49 (tied).

Thursday from 10-10:31 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults and men 18-34 versus ABC's "Private Practice" and CBS's "The Mentalist." In its five weeks with first-run episodes in the Thursday 10-10:30 p.m. half-hour, "30 Rock" has generated NBC's five highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period this season

Through the first 18 weeks of the season, "30 Rock" added an average 28 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure, making it the #3 biggest gainer on a percentage basis among half-hour comedies, behind only "The Office" and "Modern Family." Thursday from 10:31-11 p.m. ET, "Outsourced" averaged a 1.5/4 in adults 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall, ranking #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in men 18-34.

Through the first 18 weeks of the season, "Outsourced" added an average 24 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure. On a percentage basis, "Outsourced" is the #1 biggest gainer going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven" among all first-year half-hour comedies on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

On Friday, Feb. 18 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Who Do You Think You Are?" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in total viewers and was #1 among women 18-49 and women 25-54.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall) reported week-to-week increases of 14 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.6 from a 1.4) and 19 percent or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (6.821 million vs. 5.725 million). In its two-hour time period, "Dateline" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in total viewers and #1 in women 18-34 and women 18-49 (tie).

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 46 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.3) and 26 percent or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (to 7.4 million from 5.9 million). For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline" ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in adults, men and women 18-34 and adults, men and women 18-49.

On Saturday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Harry's Law" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) grew versus the show's week-ago results in this time period by 50 percent in 18-49 rating (0.6 vs. 0.4) and 19 percent in total viewers (4.226 million vs. 3.541 million). "Harry's Law" also grew half-hour to half-hour in all key ratings measures. At 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Los Angeles" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its second by 20 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 0.6 rating from a 0.5) and by 67 percent in men 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.3).

Saturday from 10-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 67 percent in 18-49 rating and 41 percent in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew by 22 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.1 rating from a 0.9) and by 19 percent in total viewers (5.932 million vs. 4.987 million).

On Sunday, Feb. 20, from 7-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall.

From 8-9 p.m. ET, the encore special "Saturday Night Live Just Commercials" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million) built on its lead-in by 67 percent in 18-49 rating. The rebroadcast delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period in the five weeks since the January 16 telecast of the Golden Globes.

Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Saturday Night Live Backstage" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) scored NBC's highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period in the five weeks since the January 16 telecast of the Golden Globes.

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Saturday Night Live Backstage" tied for #1 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-49 and was #1 outright in adults 18-34, men 18-34 and men 18-49.
