Grey'S, "House," "Office" See Largest Dvr Growth

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- "Grey's Anatomy," "House," "The Office," "Lost" and "The Big Bang Theory" are among the biggest benefactors of DVR viewership according to Live+7 numbers released by Nielsen Media Research today. Through the first 28 weeks of the season (09/21/09-04/04/10), each series has added a full ratings point (about 1.32 million viewers) per episode in the key adults 18-49 demographic when the DVR audience from the first seven days of its broadcast is factored in.

On average, the 135 shows that have aired this season have gained a .38 rating (about 501,600 viewers) in said demographic per week thanks to the Live+7 numbers. That contributes to about 15.1% of their audience in the critical category. In terms of overall viewership, on average Live+7 numbers add about 854,000 additional viewers per series - or about 11.6% of their total audience within the first week of their broadcast.
