CBS Delivers Largest Tuesday Audience Since Premiere Week

"NCIS" Attracts 21.3 Million Viewers, Its Second Largest Audience Ever

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Delivers Its Largest Audience Since its Premiere

"The Good Wife" Posts Best Adult 18-49 Rating Since Episode Two

Viewers welcomed back CBS's Tuesday dramas in impressive fashion as the Network delivered its largest Tuesday audience since premiere week, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Jan. 5.

At 8:00 PM, NCIS was first in households (12.9/20), viewers (21.34m), adults 25-54 (6.3/15) and adults 18-49 (4.4/12). Compared to the last first run episode (on Dec. 15), NCIS was up +5% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/16), even in adults 18-49 and added +640,000 viewers (from 20.70m, +3%). This was the second best viewer delivery (-0.05m behind 9/29/09) and the best adults 25-54 delivery since Oct. 20, 2009.

At 9:00 PM, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (10.9/17), viewers (17.96m) and second in both adults 25-54 (5.3/12) and adults 18-49 (3.7/09). NCIS: LOS ANGELES, compared to the last first run episode (on Dec. 15), was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.2/13), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10) and added +450,000 viewers (from 17.51m, +3%). If the ratings hold, this was the second best viewer delivery ever for NCIS: LOS ANGELES (behind the series premiere) and was the best delivery in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Nov. 24, 2009.

At 10:00 PM, THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (13.85m), adults 25-54 (4.2/10) and second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08) behind FOX's football. Compared to the last first run episode (on Dec. 15), THE GOOD WIFE was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/11) and +7% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/08). THE GOOD WIFE matched its second best adults 25-54 delivery and posted its best delivery in adults 18-49 since Sept. 29, 2009.

For the night, CBS was first in households (10.9/17), viewers (17.72m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13) - all for the fourth consecutive week - and second in adults 18-49 (3.7/10, -0.1 behind NBC). CBS delivered its largest Tuesday audience since premiere week (Sept. 22, 2009) and best delivery in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Oct. 20, 2009.

Updated Tuesday ratings will be available this afternoon.

Viewers welcomed back CBS's Tuesday dramas in impressive fashion as the Network delivered its largest Tuesday audience since premiere week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 5.

At 8:00 PM, NCIS was first in households (12.9/20), viewers (21.37m), adults 25-54 (6.2/15) and adults 18-49 (4.4/12). Compared to the last first-run episode (on Dec. 15), NCIS was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/16), even in adults 18-49 and added +670,000 viewers (from 20.70m, +3%). This was the second-best viewer delivery (-0.02m behind Sept. 29, 2009) and the best adults 25-54 delivery since Oct. 20, 2009.

At 9:00 PM, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (11.0/17), viewers (18.07m), second in adults 25-54 (5.3/12) and delivered a 3.7/09 in adults 18-49. NCIS: LOS ANGELES, compared to the last first-run episode (on Dec. 15), was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.2/13), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10) and added +560,000 viewers (from 17.51m, +3%). This was the second-best viewer delivery ever for NCIS: LOS ANGELES (-0.68m behind the series premiere) and was the best delivery in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Nov. 24, 2009.

At 10:00 PM, THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (13.97m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11), women 18-49 (3.7/10) and women 25-54 (5.3/13) and second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08) behind FOX's college football. Compared to the last first-run episode (on Dec. 15), THE GOOD WIFE was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/11) and +7% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/08). THE GOOD WIFE matched its second-best adults 25-54 delivery and posted its best delivery in adults 18-49 since Sept. 29, 2009.

For the night, CBS was first in households (11.0/17), viewers (17.81m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) � all for the fourth consecutive week - and second in adults 18-49 (3.7/10, -0.1 behind NBC). CBS delivered its largest Tuesday audience this season, best delivery in adults 25-54 since Oct. 20, 2009 and best adults 18-49 performance since Nov. 24, 2009.
