ALERT (FOX) - The midseason drama has cast the following in recurring roles: Petey Gibson as C, "the supervisor of the Missing Persons Unit's forensic imaging unit"; Fivel Stewart as Sidney, "Jason and Nikki's daughter, a confident, engaging young woman, very much her own person"; and Bre Blair as June, "who desperately wants a family of her own, but is having trouble conceiving with Jason." (Deadline.com)
BARGAIN (Paramount+, New!) - The streamer has acquired the rights to the Korean-produced crime thriller series outside its home country. Jun Jong-seo and Jin Seon-kyu star in the six-part series, which "revolves around a group of strangers who gather at a remote motel with ulterior motives - and each of them seeking to bargain. The series follows the characters after an unexpected earthquake traps them inside the building. With no one to trust, they must find a way to survive." Director Jun Woo-sung is behind the CJ ENM project, which is based on Lee Chung-hyun's award-winning short film of the same name. No other auspices were given. (Variety.com)
CHICAGO FIRE/FBI: INTERNATIONAL (NBC/CBS) - Co-creator/showrunner Derek Haas is set to exit both franchises after their current seasons. "Although I am leaving Wolf Entertainment next year to focus on creating new shows, I'm entirely committed to delivering amazing episodes of 'Chicago Fire' and 'FBI: International' through the end of the current seasons," Haas told the publication. "I learned everything I know about storytelling, pace, characters, production values, and hiring the best cast, crews, and staffs from Dick Wolf and Peter Jankowski, and as hard as it is to leave a place you love and have called home for over a decade, including incredible support from Universal Television, NBC and CBS, I look forward to building my own brand in entertainment." (Variety.com)
FREERIDGE (Netflix) - Tenzing Norgay Trainor and Peggy Blow have both been cast in the "On My Block" spin-off series. No details about their roles (a new one for the latter) were given. (Variety.com)
GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY (NBC, New!) - Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs have scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a new drama which "follows four members of a suburban garden club, all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom." Minnesota Logging Company's Casey Kyber will also executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
POINT NEMO (NBC, New!) - Heather Mitchell has sold a potential drama to the network in which "when a luxury cruise ship mysteriously goes off-course. The 1,500 souls on board become the only survivors of a global event, trapped at the most isolated point in the Pacific. Unable to reach land or refresh their supplies, Capt. Eliza Cruz and her crew must keep their passengers alive, which just might hinge on unraveling the mystery of how, exactly, the Nautilus ended up at Point Nemo." Minnesota Logging Company's Jenna Bans and Casey Kyber will also executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
WESTWORLD (HBO) - The pay channel has canceled the sci-fi drama from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy after four seasons. "Over the past four seasons, Lisa and Jonah have taken viewers on a mind-bending odyssey, raising the bar at every step," the network said in a statement. "We are tremendously grateful to them, along with their immensely talented cast, producers and crew, and all of our partners at Kilter Films, Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Television. It's been a thrill to join them on this journey." (Deadline.com)
WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? (The CW) - Executive producer Colin Mochrie took to Twitter with the news their final season will shoot in January. Said run would presumably mark the revival incarnation's 12th production cycle. (@colinmochrie)
