LAVERNE COX TO HOST "LIVE FROM E!: 2021 PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS" MULTIPLATFORM RED CARPET EXPERIENCE

· Award-winning actress, producer, advocate and style star Laverne Cox will begin her role as host of E!'s signature "Live from E!" red carpet multiplatform content starting with the 2021 "People's Choice Awards."

· "Live from E!: 2021 People's Choice Awards" airs on Tuesday, December 7th at 7pm ET/4pm PT on E! from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.

· Laverne Cox will interview, celebrate and create spontaneous experiences with all of the honorees and celebrities, as the stars align to celebrate all forms of entertainment, chosen entirely by the people.

· Laverne Cox will also lead the network's signature red carpet award season coverage beginning January 2022.

· "Live from E!: 2021 People's Choice Awards" will provide viewers with the most extensive multi-platform content on-air, on digital and across mobile and social.

· Voting is currently open for the 40 categories across movies, television, music, and pop culture through tonight Wednesday, November 17 at 11:59pm ET. Fans can either vote online at www.votepca.com or on Twitter.

· The 2021 "People's Choice Awards" will air simultaneously on both NBC and E! on Tuesday, December 7 at 9pm ET/PT with Kenan Thompson as host.

· The "People's Choice Awards" and "Live from E!: The 2021 People's Choice Awards" are both produced by Den of Thieves with Executive Producers Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager and Barb Bialkowski.

About Laverne Cox  

With various 'firsts' in her already impressive career, Laverne Cox is a four-time Emmy-nominated actress, Emmy winning producer and a prominent equal rights advocate and public speaker. Cox is best known for her groundbreaking role of Sophia Burset in the critically acclaimed Netflix original series "Orange is The New Black." This role helped Cox become the first openly transgender actress to be nominated for a Primetime acting Emmy and made her the first Trans woman of color to have a leading role on a mainstream scripted television series. Cox can currently be seen in the Oscar-winning film "Promising Young Woman." She is the host of "The Laverne Cox Show" podcast for Shondaland Audio and iHeart and recently wrapped production on Shonda Rimes' limited series "Inventing Anna" for Netflix.  She is also the Executive Producer of the critically acclaimed documentary Disclosure, which was just nominated for a Peabody Award and is currently streaming on Netflix.
