AMY'S BROTHER (FOX) - Beth McCarthy-Miller has signed on to direct and executive produce the comedy pilot, about an unconventional family that is formed when a successful type A man and his estranged sister, plus her two children, find themselves not only back in each other's lives but also living under one roof. (Variety.com)
BEHIND ENEMY LINES (FOX) - Marg Helgenberger has been tapped for a role on the drama pilot as Admiral Bobbie Decker: a Navy Admiral, the most powerful woman in the military, fierce but fair, a no BS straight shooter, who will do anything to keep her men and women safe.
BLINDSPOT (NBC) - MMA icon Ronda Rousey will guest on an upcoming episode as "a female prison inmate." (TVLine.com)
CHARLIE FOXTROT (ABC) - Swoosie Kurtz has joined the cast of the Jason Biggs-led comedy pilot. She'll presumably play his mother, Sue, "a patriotic ball-buster." (Deadline.com, 2/20)
DISTEFANO (CBS) - Chazz Palminteri has signed onto the comedy pilot, about Izzy (Diane Guerrero) and Chris (Chris Distefano), two 20-somethings raising their newborn daughter and merging their loud families - one Colombian American, one Italian. He'll play Tony, "Chris's dad, a charismatic, flirtatious, devoted grandpa, and ex-bad boy." (Deadline.com)
GET, THE (CBS) - Emayatzy Corinealdi has been cast in the drama pilot, about a team of tireless internet journalists who pursue and expose stories of injustice using their unconventional investigative techniques in today's anything-goes world of reporting. She'll play Noelle Greene, "a fearless journalist who never backs down from a story she cares about." (Deadline.com)
GOSPEL OF KEVIN, THE (ABC) - Jason Ritter has landed the title role in the drama pilot, about a down-on-his-luck man who is tasked by God with a mission to save the world. "Kevin is a cluelessly self-serving jerk, on a dangerous path to despair. After a failed suicide attempt, he's going home to stay with his widowed twin sister and niece for a time, only to be met with a crisis in the person Yvette, a warrior for God whose job is to guide Kevin back to the road of righteousness and make him understand his mission in this life." Additionally, Paul McGuigan has been confirmed to direct. (Deadline.com)
HERE, NOW (A.K.A. UNTITLED ALAN BALL PROJECT) (HBO) - Oscar-winner Tim Robbins is set as the male lead on the upcoming drama, which focuses on a seemingly perfect, progressive family - philosophy professor Greg Bishop (Robbins), his lawyer wife Audrey (Holly Hunter), their three adopted children from Somalia (Jerrika Hinton), Vietnam (Raymond Lee) and Colombia (Daniel Zovatto), and their sole biological child (Sosie Bacon) - but is in actuality harboring deep rifts. HIGHER GROUND (CBS) - Brad William Henke is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, which centers on an elite team of investigators for the Northeast Regional U.S. Hate Crimes Unit who must confront their own biases as they keep the peace by solving myriad crimes against humanity while acting locally but thinking of the national repercussions. He'll play Detective David Tucker, "a military man with paternal instincts." (Deadline.com)
LIFE SENTENCE (The CW) - Dylan Walsh has boarded the Lucy Hale-led drama pilot, about a young woman diagnosed with terminal cancer, who, when she finds out that she's not dying after all, has to learn to live with the choices she made when she decided to live like she was dying. He'll play Stella's father Paul: "He spent most of the past 10 years being strong for his family and crying in the shower as he tried to deal with the fact that his daughter had cancer. Now that Stella is cured, he has to face a few extremely unpleasant things that have him gobsmacked." (Deadline.com)
RAISED BY WOLVES (ABC) - Georgia King has been cast in the lead role of the comedy pilot, based on the U.K. series, about Sheila Gable, a tough single mother to five offbeat kids, trying to survive on a shoestring budget in a (not) beautiful Midwestern town. Also on board is Ben Taylor, who will direct and executive produce from a script by Diablo Cody. (Deadline.com)
RAY DONOVAN (Showtime) - Graham Rogers and Michel Gill will both recur on the upcoming season as Smitty, "the new boyfriend of Bridget (Kerris Dorsey) in New York"; and Doug Landry, an unspecified character; respectively. (Deadline.com)
RESIDENT, THE (FOX) - Manish Dayal and Bruce Greenwood have both been cast in the drama pilot, about Devon Pravesh (Dayal), an idealistic young doctor, as he begins his first day under the supervision of a tough, brilliant senior resident who pulls the curtain back on all of the good and evil in modern day medicine. Greenwood then will play Chief of Surgery Dr. Solomon Bell, "every inch the image of an ideal surgeon." (Deadline.com)
SOMEWHERE BETWEEN (ABC) - Devon Sawa is set to star in the summer drama as Nico Jackson, "a cop-turned-private investigator." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED PAUL WILLIAM DAVIES PROJECT (ABC) - Susannah Flood has scored a role on the drama pilot as Kate Littlejohn, "a smart and steadfast young prosecutor beginning her career at SDNY." (Deadline.com, 2/20)
