TOM PETTY & THE HEARTBREAKERS TO PERFORM ON "JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" THURSDAY, JULY 31 ON ABC
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will appear on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" this THURSDAY, JULY 31, performing songs from their new album Hypnotic Eye.
The band's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" appearance will be the television debut of music from Hypnotic Eye. This performance comes as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers prepare to embark on their North American tour which begins this Sunday August 3rd in San Diego, CA and includes a headlining appearance at next weekend's Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, CA.
Hypnotic Eye was awarded four stars in the current issue of Rolling Stone and was described by the Associated Press as a "rock 'n' roll triumph."
That evening, Kimmel will also welcome actress Kerry Washington from ABC's "Scandal."
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format. Jimmy Kimmel and Jill Leiderman serve as executive producers. Jason Schrift, Douglas DeLuca and Erin Irwin serve as co-executive producers.
