WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE, IS IT ALL THE HEART ... OR THE BRAIN?

Fall in Love with a Special Valentine's Day Episode of the Emmy-Nominated Series Brain Games

Brain Games: Attraction Premieres Monday, Feb. 10, at 9:30 PM ET/PT on the National Geographic Channel

(WASHINGTON, D.C. - Feb. 3, 2014) It's often said that the heart wants what it wants, but would it surprise you to learn that most of what you call "attractive" is just a construct created by your brain? National Geographic Channel's hit series Brain Games will air a special Valentine's Day episode Monday, Feb. 10, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, devoted to the laws of attraction - proving that chemistry, relationships and love-at-first-sight feelings are actually all in your head! For more information, visit www.natgeotv.com/braingames and follow us on Twitter at https://twitter.com/NGC_PR.

In Brain Games: Attraction you'll discover that beauty isn't in the eye of the beholder - it's in the brain. Through a series of mind-bending experiments, the show delves inside your head to learn what makes your heart race. Discover the universal formula for attractiveness, the secret to a long-term relationship and whether opposites really do attract. A clip from this special episode is available for download here.

Building off last season's success, which included setting a record as the highest-rated series launch in National Geographic Channel's history and an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Informational Series or Special, the second season of Brain Games (@BrainGames) explores a new array of topics on how we see, process and think about the world around us - with episodes devoted to trust, competition, colors, stress and more. The new season of Brain Games will also premiere internationally on National Geographic Channel in 170 countries and 48 languages in February.

Brain Games continues Monday nights on National Geographic Channel.

Brain Games is produced by National Geographic Television (NGT) in association with Atomic Entertainment for National Geographic Channels. Jerry Kolber is executive producer. For NGT, Pamela Wells is executive producer. For NGC, Michael Kovnat is executive producer; Lynn Sadofsky is vice president, production; Alan Eyres is senior vice president, production & development; Heather Moran is executive in charge of production; and Howard T.
