CRACKLE HIT ORIGINAL SERIES "CHOSEN" ANNOUNCES ROSE MCGOWAN TO JOIN SEASON 3

Series is Currently in Production with Returning Characters Chad Michael Murray, Sarah Roemer and Brandon Routh

Pasadena, Calif. (January 12, 2014) - Crackle, the multi-platform entertainment network, announced the lead cast for the third season of their original series "Chosen," with returning star Chad Michael Murray ("One Tree Hill") and Rose McGowan ("Charmed") as new character Josie Acosta, a suburban mom and experienced hunter. The new season also marks the return of Sarah Roemer (DISTURBIA), Brandon Routh (SUPERMAN RETURNS) and Caitlin Carmichael ("Criminal Minds").

The six episodes are executive produced by Milo Ventimiglia alongside creators Ben Ketai (30 DAYS OF NIGHT: DARK DAYS) and Ryan Lewis (HIGH SCHOOL, FAT KID RULES THE WORLD), written by Evan Charnov (LOST BOYS: THE THIRST) and directed by Toby Wilkins (SPLINTER and "Teen Wolf"). The series is currently in production in Los Angeles and the six episodes will premiere at once later this year.

Now dealing with the devastating consequences of his choice, Jacob (Murray) desperately seeks redemption by trying to free Ellie (Carmichael) from the game, a darkness that he is only beginning to understand. And one that has put him on a direct collision course with Josie (McGowan), an experienced hunter who holds the distinction of being one of the most deadly to exist. Living an impossible life trying to protect her children from the violence that surrounds them without succumbing to it herself, she is faced with her most horrific challenge yet. The third season ensures to pack more thrills, suspense and jaw-dropping moments.

The first season of "Chosen" exceeded expectations as one of Crackle's most-watched original series ever. The series also earned Milo Ventimiglia an International Academy of Web Television Award for Best Male Performance in a Drama. The paranoiac thriller also saw records for user engagement, with most viewers watching all episodes. As one of the few digital series to return with more episodes, the second season of "Chosen" strengthened Crackle's acclaimed portfolio of originals which includes EXTRACTION, Crackle's first digital feature which debuted in September; the original series "Cleaners," starring Emmanuelle Chriqui, Emily Osment and David Arquette, which will debut season two in 2014; and the Emmy-nominated series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" starring Jerry Seinfeld.
