AFTER HOURS (NBC) - Eoin Macken ("Merlin") is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, which revolves around the graveyard shift in the ER at San Antonio Medical Center. He'll play T.C. Callahan, "who has returned from the Army to practice his unorthodox brand of medicine, often butting heads with his superiors." Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah are behind the Sony Pictures Television-based hour, to be directed by Pierre Morel. (Deadline.com)
ALL GROWN UP (FOX, New!) - Nat Saunders and Chris Hayward ("Misery Bear") have sold a new single-camera comedy to the network about "a young man who gets fired, moves back in with his parents and gets back on his feet with the help of his childhood toys that come to life." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the half-hour, with Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment also serving as an executive producer. BEVERLY HILLS COP (CBS) - Brandon T. Jackson ("Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son") is in final negotiations to play the son of Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) in the Eye's small screen take on the film franchise. Shawn Ryan is behind the hour, which is set up at Sony Pictures Television. Murphy, who will reprise his titular hero, is executive producing alongside Ryan and Marney Hochman. (HumorMillMag.com)
BLINK (The CW, New!) - Newcomer Vera Harbert is developing a new drama at the netlet, billed as "a dark family story about a girl whose father is in a coma." The CBS Television Studios-based Timberman-Beverly Productions is behind the project, with the company's Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly executive producing alongside David Marshall Grant. CITY HALL (ABC, New!) - Gideon Yago ("The Newsroom") has sold a potential drama to the Alphabet which "follows the mayor of Oakland and her irreverent City Hall staff of twenty- and thirtysomethings who take on the political and social establishment of a city in crisis while trying to maintain their own personal and social lives." Robert M. Sertner ("Mistresses") is supervising the hour, which is set up at ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
COMPLIKATED (ABC, New!) - Bonnie Hunt ("Life with Bonnie") is on track to return to the Alphabet for a new comedy about Kate (Hunt), "a confidently insecure woman with a complicated life." Hunt and her frequent collaborator Don Lake will pen the half-hour, which is set up at ABC Studios. They'll likewise executive produce via their Bob & Alice Produtions banner alongside Ben Stiller, Debbie Liebling and Stuart Cornfeld of Red Hour Television. (Deadline.com)
KING & MAXWELL (TNT) - Rebecca Romijn ("Eastwick") has booked the female lead on the drama pilot, about Sean King (Jon Tenney) and Michelle Maxwell (Romijn), secret service agents-turned-private investigators whose unique skill set (not to mention their razor-sharp chemistry) often gives them a leg up on suspects and conventional law enforcement. Michael Katleman is helming the CBS Television Studios-based hour from a script by Shane Brennan, adapted from characters created by bestselling author David Baldacci. (Deadline.com)
LORIMER (HBO, New!) - Michael Lannan is developing a comedy at the pay channel inspired by his short of the same name, about "three friends in San Francisco who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men." Sarah Condon and David Marshall Grant are also on board to executive produce the half-hour with Lannan serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
MY KOREAN DELI (ABC, New!) - Ben Ryder Howe's book - about an American man who buys a deli for his wife's Korean parents and now has to try to find the balance between his new job, his wife, and his overbearing in-laws - is being developed as a comedy at the Alphabet. Geoff Moore and David Posamentier ("Better Living Through Chemistry") will write the adaptation for ABC Studios with Mark Gordon and Andrea Shay of The Mark Gordon Co. and Jason Blum and Gerard Bacaccio of Blumhouse executive producing alongside the duo. (Deadline.com)
RAN QUARTET (CBS, New!) - The Eye is once again looking to import the Israeli drama, about "four siblings who had their entire lives documented by a filmmaker until age 32, when the documentary stops and everyone comes to find the four's real lives are quite different from the way they had been portrayed on TV." Writers Mike and Chris Kelley and director Mimi Leder were behind the previous attempt in 2010, entitled "The Quinn-Tuplets," with Amber Tamblyn, Anna Chlumsky, David Giantoli, Dougray Scott, Molly Parker and Sam Witwer among the ensemble cast. David Marshall Grant ("Smash") then is spearheading the new take, billed as a medical show with more of a procedural element. The CBS Television Studios-based Timberman-Beverly Productions is behind the project, to be executive produced by Grant, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Yona Wiesenthal, Avi Armoza, Eilon Ratzkovsky, Tariq Jalil and Arik Kneller as well as original series creators Giyora Yahalom and Oren Jakobi. TROOPER (TNT) - Mira Sorvino has been tapped to star in the drama pilot, about a recently divorced female state trooper who is as unconventional at work as she is at home raising her three kids. The actress previously toplined the original incarnation at CBS during the past development cycle. Aron Eli Coleite penned the hour, which comes from the Warner Horizon Television-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Jason Ensler will helm the new pilot, taking over for Craig Gillespie. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED STEVE AGEE/ROB SCHRAB PROJECT (FX, New!) - Steve Agee and Rob Schrab ("Channel 101") are developing a new comedy at the cable channel based on the former's childhood experiences at a military academy in the 1980s. The untitled project is set up at Shine America and Electric Dynamite with Jack Black, Carolyn Bernstein and Priyanka Mattoo also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
