USA NETWORK'S DENIS LEARY COMEDY PILOT "SIRENS" SETS CAST, DIRECTOR AND PRODUCTION START IN CHICAGO

Stars Michael Mosley, Kevin Daniels, Jessica McNamee and Kevin Bigley

Victor Nelli tapped to Direct Pilot From Executive Producers Leary and Bob Fisher

The USA Network half-hour comedy pilot SIRENS cast Michael Mosley ("30 Rock," "Pan Am"), Kevin Daniels ("Modern Family"), Jessica McNamee ("The Vow") and Kevin Bigley ("Game Change") to star. Leary will co-write with Fisher ("Wedding Crashers," "Traffic Light"), and both will executive produce the series along with Jim Serpico ("Rescue Me"), and Hal Vogel and David Aukin ("Hyde Park on the Hudson," End Game," "The Promise") of Daybreak Pictures. Apostle and Fox Television Studios will produce in conjunction with Daybreak Pictures. The pilot, set to shoot in Chicago later this month, will be directed by Victor Nelli ( "Happy Endings," "Wilfred," "Ugly Betty," "Scrubs"), who will also executive produce.

SIRENS follows three of Chicago's best EMTs whose sometimes self-loathing, other times narcissistic, and always downright self-destructive personalities make them unqualified for sustaining relationships, friendships and most occupations. They are, however, uniquely qualified for saving anyone unlucky enough to wind up in their ambulance.

Mosley stars as "Johnny," a good-looking, sports-loving, Chicago EMT who works with his best friend "Hank," played by Daniels. McNamee stars as "Theresa," a smart, gorgeous female cop with the Chicago PD who still loves her ex Johnny, but ultimately had to move on when he wouldn't commit, and Bigley appears as "Brian," a wide-eyed and excitable new EMT, eager and always ready for an adventure, who still lives with his parents. Hank and Johnny put him through the paces but for the most part Brian doesn't mind; he's game for anything.

The network, which introduces the award-winning and top-rated acquired comedy MODERN FAMILY to its slate next year, recently wrapped production on the half-hour Fox 21 comedy pilot PAGING DR. FREED. Written and executive produced by Michael Feldman and directed by Marc Buckland, the single-camera comedy pilot centers on gynecologist brothers David (Kyle Howard) and Jonathan (Joel David Moore) who inherit their father's thriving medical practice after he dies from a heart attack he suffers during an attempt at "playing" doctor with his young secretary. Annie Potts plays the brothers' overbearing mother who is at odds with Jonathan's wife (Leslie Grossman) and can't stop meddling in her sons' lives.

Characters Welcome.
