Stars Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) are set to announce this year's Primetime Emmy nominations on Thursday, July 19, at 5:40 a.m. on Emmys.com.

Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) will announce the 64th Primetime Emmy(R) Awards Nominations, along side Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Chairman-CEO Bruce Rosenblum, at 5:40 a.m. PST on Thursday, July 19, 2012.

Returning as producer of this year's nomination telecast is Spike Jones, Jr., who will also once again be serving as the producer for the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The ceremony will take place at the Television Academy's Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood, California.

Kerry Washington currently stars as Olivia Pope on the ABC drama Scandal, which is slated to return for a second season in September 2012. Winner of Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for the film Ray at the NAACP Image Awards in 2005, and nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress in the film Lift in 2002, Washington is a versatile and fearless actress with an impressive list of credits.

She garnered critical acclaim for her roles in The Last King of Scotland, opposite Forest Whitaker, for which she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture at the NAACP Image Awards in 2007; The Dead Girl, opposite Marcia Gay Harden and Brittany Murphy; and in Lakeview Terrace, starring opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Patrick Wilson. Washington was nominated for Best Actress for the 2011 BET Awards.

Upcoming projects include The Details, alongside Tobey Maguire, Ray Liotta and Laura Linney; We the Peeples, with Craig Robinson and David Allan Grier; and Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, with Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz.

Nick Offerman currently stars as Ron Swanson on the critically acclaimed NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. Offerman plays the masculine director of a parks and recreation department in small town Indiana. Working alongside the ensemble cast of Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe, Offerman is a comedic heavyweight whose role has developed a cult following. For Parks and Recreation, Offerman received the Television Critics Association Award for Achievement in Comedy in 2011, after a previous nomination in 2010. The Critics' Choice Awards also nominated him for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for 2011.

Offerman was recently seen on the big screen in the comedy Casa de Mi Padre, with Will Ferrell, Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna. His other recent films include 21 Jump Street, with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, and Smashed, which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. With a cast that includes Octavia Spencer, Megan Mullally, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul, Smashed is a comedic drama about a married couple whose bond is built on a mutual love of alcohol and whose relationship is tested when the wife decides to get sober. Sony Pictures will release the film this fall.

Offerman produced and starred in Bob Byington's film Somebody Up There Likes Me, which premiered at the South by Southwest Festival in March 2012 and will be released this fall by Tribeca Films. He can next be seen in the upcoming comedy Gay Dude and an untitled project from Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody, alongside Julianne Hough, Russell Brand and Octavia Spencer, which is slated for a 2013 release.

The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live coast to coast on Sunday, September 23, 2012, on ABC, and will originate from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles.

The awards will be produced by Don Mischer and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Nominating ballots were posted on the Television Academy's website, www.emmys.tv, on June 11, and ballots are to be returned to Ernst & Young by 5:00 p.m. on June 28.
