BAD FAIRY (Nickelodeon, New!) - Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas ("My Super Psycho Sweet 16") have landed a pilot commitment for their multi-camera comedy, about "the unlikely friendship between a rebellious teen fairy and an 'adorkable' 14-year-old girl who form a bond as they help each other navigate the perils of both teenage and fairy life." Production on the pilot starts next week in Los Angeles with Eric Seaton set to direct. (Deadline.com)


BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE (NBC) - Ernie Hudson has landed a role on the pilot, an imaginative and thematically rich ensemble "what if" drama set 10 minutes in the future where families of mechanical human beings exist to service the human population -- that is until some of the mechanicals begin to "awaken." He'll recur as Jack, the senior partner of Gregory's (James Murray) law firm. Also starring in the project are Andrea Parker, Cody Christian, David Conrad, Frances Conroy, Jud Tylor, Madisen Beaty, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Patrick Heusinger and Tovah Feldshuh. Stephen Hopkins is directing from a script by Michael McDonald. (Deadline.com)


CHELSEA GENERAL (TNT) - Jamie Bamber ("Battlestar Galactica") is the latest addition to the David E. Kelley-penned drama pilot, about the lives of five surgeons as they push the limits of their abilities and confront their personal and professional failings. He's on board as supernova vascular neurosurgeon Dr. Tyler Wilson, who has a fling with a fellow neurosurgeon Dr. Tina Ridgeway (Jennifer Finnigan). Bill D'Elia is directing the hour, which is based on Sanjay Gupta's upcoming novel "Monday Mornings." (Deadline.com)


QUEAN (CBS) - Spanish helmer Jaume Collet-Serra ("The River") has been tapped to direct the drama pilot, about a female hacker who teams with Oakland police to help solve crimes. He'll work from a script by Ilene Chaiken, who executive producing alongside Joel Silver for Warner Bros. Television. (Variety.com)


REVOLUTION (NBC) - Eric Kripke's drama, about "a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist," has officially been ordered to pilot by the Peacock. Said hour is set up at the Warner Bros. Television-based Bad Robot with J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk executive producing alongside Kripke. NBC had previously given the project a production commitment with a $2 million penalty. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED DANA GOULD PROJECT (FX, New!) - Dana Gould is set to star, write and executive produce a new comedy for the cable channel about "a rock band on the verge of mega-stardom who finds itself on the verge of breaking up and is forced to seek professional help in a last-ditch effort to stay together." Foo Fighters' lead vocalist/songwriter Dave Grohl is also on board to executive produce the half-hour as are Gerber Pictures' Bill Gerber and 3 Arts Entertainment's Tom Lassally and Dave Becky. No studio was indicated. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED JOHN LEGUIZAMO PROJECT (ABC, New!) - John Leguizamo is set to star and executive produce a potential single-camera comedy at the Alphabet inspired by his professional, personal and family life in New York City. The half-hour is set up at ABC Studios and the search is underway for a writer. Executive producing alongside Leguizamo will be his manager Jeff Golenberg as well as David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films and Television. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED SARAH SILVERMAN PROJECT (NBC) - Comedian Tig Notaro and former "Lost" star Ken Leung are the latest additions to the comedy pilot, which stars Silverman as Susan Farrow, a woman who returns to her old life after a breakup, ready to pick up where she left off and finds it's not as easy as she thought because those around her have moved on. Notaro will play one of Susan's new friends, Beth Ann, "a tenant in the building who has a 4 year-old daughter"; while Leung is set to recur as Gene, "a shut-in who spends most of his time of his time on his couch, wrapped in a blanket and watching TV." Harris Wittels and June Diane Raphael also star in the 20th Century Fox Television-based half-hour, which Ken Kwapis is directing from a script by Silverman, Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder. AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Lisa Kridos has been named executive producer of syndicated talk show "The Ricki Lake Show," which premieres in September (THR.com); Bryan Singer and Bryan Singer's reboot of "The Munsters" has been renamed "Mockingbird Lane," a nod to the family's iconic Victorian abode, which is situated at 1313 Mockingbird Lane (TVLine.com); and Patton Oswalt will guest on "Two and a Half Men" as "the Wozniak to Walden's (Ashton Kutcher) Jobs" (EW.com).
