MTV DARES TO BE DIFFERENT WITH SEASON TWO OF "MY LIFE AS LIZ" PREMIERING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2011 AT 11:00PM ET/PT

New York, NY (January 24, 2011) - The second season of MTV's popular series "My Life As Liz" - based on the life and experiences of Liz Lee - returns to the channel on Tuesday, February 8 at 11pm ET/PT with 12 all-new episodes. Viewers will follow along as Liz trades in the small Texas town of Burleson for the opportunity to go to art school in the ultimate big city: New York. The new season offers a humorous look at the surprising ups and downs of Liz's first year in college as she adjust to life in the intimidating Big Apple, pesky relationship drama, and students that are too cool for school -- all while she tries to remain close to her beloved nerd-herd back in Texas. Along the way, Liz provides the witty commentary that viewers came to appreciate in Season One, delivering a continually refreshing look at these new challenges in her life.

While Season One gave viewers a lighthearted look at Liz's senior year of high school as she made peace with sworn enemies, stepped out of her shell, and created a year to remember, now, Liz is up against a much more formidable foe than blonde bombshell, Cori Cooper. Liz is simply no match for New York City and she's learning quickly that she may not have the survival skills to get by. Fortunately, back in Texas, Liz's friends remain by her side, and manage, with often comic results, to help her turn her life around. Sully, a budding relationship guru, goes to great lengths to try to keep the pages turning in the Liz/Bryson saga and may even meet the girl of his dreams in the process. Taylor also works all the angles behind-the-scenes to keep Bryson in Liz's life, but makes a college pick that leaves Liz speechless. Though Bryson has big surprises in store for Liz, he might get a greater shock when plans go in unexpected directions as Liz's potential new flame, Louis, steps into the picture. It promises to be a season full of the surprising plot twists, cliffhanger endings, endearing characters, and laugh-out-loud moments that Liz fans have come to expect.

Fans can relive Liz's journey of self-discovery from the first season by visiting mylifeasliz.mtv.com where viewers can catch-up on full episodes, view sneak peek clips of Season Two, read cast bios check out photos of the cast and listen to tunes from the show.
