the Look: BGC Boutique" Coinciding with the Premiere of "Bad Girls Club Miami" Reunion on Tuesday, November 16
NEW YORK - November 11, 2010 - Oxygen Media has formed a unique partnership with StyleQ, Inc., an entertainment-based retailer, to custom-curate head-to-toe looks for the Bad Girls for the "Bad Girls Club Miami" reunion special, premiering Tuesday, November 16 at 9pm ET/PT. Working with celebrity stylists and costume designers to act as a personal image consultant, StyleQ, helps consumers get in touch with their inner celebrity at affordable prices. This partnership represents Oxygen's first full integration combining commerce and social media and the first time StyleQ has operated a television show-branded boutique on Facebook. The announcement was made today by Jane Olson, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Brand Strategy, Oxygen Media.
"We know our viewers want to share their viewing experience with their friends while they watch," said Olson. "This innovative partnership injects another of their passions - shopping - into the conversation and makes it a sharable experience, too."
"Our partnership with Oxygen is an innovative and timely collaboration," said Ivan Brown, President, StyleQ, Inc. "StyleQ is so excited to create a lively, interactive merchandising environment on the 'Bad Girls Club' Facebook fan page, giving fans the opportunity to purchase the same items worn by their favorite 'Bad Girls Club' cast members while the show airs, and rotating in new looks inspired by the characters over the coming months."
In preparation for the "Bad Girls Club Miami" reunion special, the company styled four different Bad Girls with different custom looks based on their characters. While watching the reunion episode, fans can visit the Bad Girls Club Facebook page to purchase the apparel, footwear, and beauty products they are seeing on-air. A branded Facebook store, "Shop the Look: BGC Boutique," within the "Bad Girls Club" Facebook page will go live simultaneously on Tuesday, November 16, with the airing of part one of the reunion special. Additionally, fans will get bonus material including instructional and how-to video vignettes showcasing the styling sessions along with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the show.
Gossip aficionado, Perez Hilton, will once again host the "Bad Girls Club Miami" two-part reunion special, with part one premiering Tuesday, November 16 at 9pm ET/PT and part two premiering Tuesday, November 23 at 9pm ET/PT.
The StyleQ, Inc. and Oxygen Media deal was brokered by Jennifer Turner, Vice President, Licensing and Strategic Partnerships, Bravo Media and Oxygen Media.
