Multiple-nominee "30 Rock" Scores as Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical and Stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin Are Named Best Actress and Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical

All of NBC's Golden Globe Nominations Came From Series Produced by Universal Media Studios and Universal Cable Productions

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - January 11, 2009 - "30 Rock" scored a hat trick with the series being named Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin picking up their second Golden Globe Awards each for Best Actress and Best Actor. NBC Universal was the leader among broadcast networks with three wins and six nominations.

The winners were announced during a live broadcast on NBC tonight by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association from a star-studded event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Two-time Emmy winner "30 Rock" picked up its first Golden Globe, and 2008 Emmy winners Fey and Baldwin each earned a second Golden Globe, with Fey repeating her 2008 win and Baldwin reprising his 2007 honor.

"Tina, Alec, and the cast and crew of "30 Rock" made us laugh week in and week out and it's fantastic to see them honored with their Golden Globe wins," said Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. "NBC is thrilled to be the most honored broadcast network with more awards than all the other networks combined."

"Congratulations to all the NBC Universal winners and nominees," added Marc Graboff, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. "This tremendous acknowledgement from the HFPA of all our nominated actors and shows - all produced by our studios - is both gratifying and well-earned for our show creators and talent, as well as for everyone who works so hard all year long."

In addition to the wins for "30 Rock" NBC received an additional three nominations, including nods for "The Office" and star Steve Carell (who won the Golden Globe in 2006), as well as for Mariska Hargitay (a 2005 Golden Globe winner for her performance in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"). In addition, top-rated cable network USA received two more nominations (Tony Shalhoub - a 2003 Golden Globe and three-time Emmy winner for "Monk" and Debra Messing for "The Starter Wife). Universal Media Studios' "House" tallied two Golden Globe nods (one for Best Television Series - Drama and one for Hugh Laurie who has received two previous Golden Globes in the same category for his starring role) - with all 10 nominations coming from series produced by Universal Media Studios and Universal Cable Productions.
