TLC Launches New Thursday Night Block

-- New Series HELI-LOGGERS Joins the Returning STREET CUSTOMS on February 5 --

January 9, 2009

(Los Angeles, Ca.) TLC will premiere a new block of programming on its Thursday night schedule beginning February 5, 2009, it was announced today by the network. New adventure logging series HELI-LOGGERS and the return of car-customizing docu-series STREET CUSTOMS promise viewers even more energy-packed excitement every week.

"Fan-favorites like AMERICAN CHOPPER and LA INK have made our Thursday block a destination for fascinating characters in unique environments, and these series are a great complement to the night," explained Nancy Daniels, SVP Production & Development, TLC.

Premiering at 10 PM ET/PT, HELI-LOGGERS transports viewers to the rain forest of Northern British Columbia, where a rowdy group of loggers risk their lives to provide the world with lumber, a resource often taken for granted. Performing one of the most dangerous jobs, the loggers use an enormous Boeing Chinook helicopter the only one of its kind in Canada as they work against the clock, battling perilous terrain and extreme weather. They do this all while maintaining an eco-friendly, environmentally sustainable mission.

In STREET CUSTOMS, returning with its second season at 9 PM ET/PT, TLC spotlights the talents of car-customizing star Ryan Friedlinghaus and his unorthodox approach to managing his West Coast Customs family of artisans and technicians. Each episode chronicles the boundary-busting cars that the crew take on ranging from customizing modern styled street rods to chopping up $100,000 luxury vehicles, often for an impressive client list that includes sports icons, Hollywood elite and famous car aficionados. STREET CUSTOMS is produced on site at West Coast Customs' shop in Corona, CA.

STREET CUSTOMS is produced for TLC by Pilgrim Films & Television; executive producers are Craig Piligian and Ralph Wikke, and co-executive producers are Mitch Rosa and Ian Jones. HELI-LOGGERS is produced for TLC by World of Wonder; executive producers are Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato.
