30 DAYS (FX) - The cable channel has confirmed the show's third season will roll out on Tuesday, June 3 at 10:00/9:00c, nearly two years after its second season completed its run. Among the new season's topics: creator/host Morgan Spurlock living and working at a coal mine in his home state of West Virginia; former NFL player Ray Crockett spending 30 days in a wheelchair; and Spurlock living on a Native American reservation. Spurlock, Ben Silverman, R.J. Cutler, Howard T. Owens and Jonathan Chinn are the show's executive producers.

AUSTIN GOLDEN HOUR (The CW, New!) - Lance Gentile ("ER") and Mal Young ("Doctor Who") have landed a pilot commitment from the netlet for a new real-time medical drama about a close-knit team of young emergency room surgeons and EMTs in Austin, Texas during the critical, adrenaline-filled 60 minutes immediately following a trauma. The project is set up at Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment and CBS Paramount Network Television with Fuller, Gentile and Young serving as executive producers.

MEN IN TREES/OCTOBER ROAD (ABC) - Lifetime has passed on potential third seasons of both series. The Disney-ABC Television Group owns a 50% stake in the cable channel where the Alphabet had hoped to find a home for both series, neither of which is assured a spot on its 2008-09 season schedule. It's not clear if the show's producers - Warner Bros. Television and ABC Studios, respectively - plan to shop the series outside the Disney corporate umbrella.

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE (Lifetime) - The cable channel confirmed this week the Marisa Coughlan-led drama will not return for a second season. A statement posted to the show's official web site reads: "Although we are not bringing 'Side Order of Life' back for another season, we are extremely proud of the show, particularly its sensitive exploration of the issue of living with cancer. Lifetimes commitment to raising awareness about cancer, especially breast cancer, continues and will grow as we begin our 14th year of our award-winning Stop Breast Cancer for Life campaign. We are grateful for the contributions of the talented team, both in front of and behind the camera." Margaret Nagle created the series, a co-production of Warner Horizon Television and The Jinks-Cohen Company.
