Abc, FOX Shuffle Thursday Lineups
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC and FOX are hoping Thursday berths for their respective struggling dramas "Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital" and "Wonderfalls" will give each a viewership jolt.

The Stephen King series will run two episodes this week, one in its current Wednesday, 10:00/9:00c home and another in its new slot: Thursdays at 9:00/8:00c. "Extreme Makeover," which currently airs in the Thursday, 9:00/8:00c time period, will move to "Kingdom's" old Wednesday, 10:00/9:00c slot starting April 14, one week after "The Bachelor's" two-hour fifth season premiere on April 7.

"Kingdom" has been hemorrhaging viewers since its March 3 premiere, literally pulling in half the viewership of its debut in its most recent airing (households: 8.8/14 vs. 4.0/7; adults 18-49: 5.5 vs. 2.3) according to fast national data. Interestingly enough, "Kingdom" was originally eyed for Thursdays at 9:00/8:00c however ABC retargeted the series in November.

As for "Wonderfalls," FOX is giving the series a one-week tryout following "Tru Calling" on Thursday. To make room for the move, "Forever Eden," which only recently moved to Thursdays at 9:00/8:00c, will run in "Wonderfalls'" regular Friday, 9:00/8:00c slot following "Playing It Straight" on April 2.

"Wonderfalls" averaged a 2.3 rating/4 share in households and a 1.5 rating in adults 18-49 based on fast national data this past Friday. That makes said broadcast the least-watched program in the Friday, 9:00/8:00c hour on FOX this season (first-run or repeat).
