NATIONAL TREASURE (Disney+) - The streamer has given its proposed TV series take on the feature film franchise a 10-episode order. Writers Marianne and Cormac Wibberley will be joined by director Mira Nair and producer Jerry Bruckheimer on the project, a reimagining of the concept which "explores the timely issues of identity, community, historical authorship and patriotism, told from the point of view of Jess Morales, a twenty-year-old DREAMer who, with her diverse group of friends, sets off on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover her mysterious family history and recover lost treasure." Duchovny will also write the proposed adaptation with Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz, the latter duo of which would direct should it move forward. All three will executive produce. (Deadline.com)
WONDER YEARS, THE (ABC) - Milan Ray, Julian Lerner and Amari O'Neil are the latest cast in the reboot series pilot. Ray is set as Keisa Clemmons, "the apple of Dean's eye. And rounds out the group as Cory Long, "who had everything figured out when he hit puberty on the early side." (Deadline.com)
