"48 HOURS" TRUE CRIME SATURDAY DOUBLE FEATURE

9:00 PM - 48 HOURS: "The Suspicious Death of Christian Andreacchio" - Correspondent Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS investigate the death of Christian Andreacchio, a young Mississippi man, and new information uncovered by 48 HOURS that gave his family hope in their search for justice, in an encore of "The Suspicious Death of Christian Andreacchio" to be broadcast Saturday, Sept. 4 (9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streamed on. Paramount+. Police say he was found shot dead in the bathroom of his apartment in Meridian, Miss., by his live-in girlfriend, Whitley Goodman, and his friend Dylan Swearingen on Feb. 26, 2014. Swearingen told police Andreacchio was acting erratically before he died. According to a police report, Swearingen said Andreacchio threatened to shoot himself, telling Goodman to tell him that she loved him, before Swearingen intervened and took the gun from him. Swearingen told police he later gave the gun back after Andreacchio calmed down. Investigators ruled his death a suicide. However, his family didn't believe he would take his own life. A grand jury heard the case in 2017 and did not indict Goodman and Swearingen. Their mothers tell Peter Van Sant their children are innocent. In reporting the story, the 48 HOURS team discovered a key report in the case was not presented to the grand jury in 2017. When told of the discovery by 48 HOURS, prosecutor Kassie Coleman said she was willing to reconvene a grand jury. Coleman acknowledges the Andreacchio family doesn't trust her to present the case. A request to find a new prosecutor is pending in court. WATCH A PREVIEW

10:00 PM - 48 HOURS: "The Tara Grinstead Mystery" - 48 HOURS and Peter Van Sant investigate the disappearance of Tara Grinstead, a Georgia teacher and former beauty queen who seemingly vanished overnight in October 2005, in an encore of "The Tara Grinstead Mystery" to be broadcast Saturday, Sept. 4 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streamed on Paramount+. The 48 HOURS report details how the small town of Ocilla, Ga., has been consumed with suspicion and theories about the disappearance of Grinstead. On the morning of Oct. 22, 2005, Grinstead helped some teens prepare for a local beauty pageant. She later went to a cookout and was last seen heading home. For years the case was a mystery - even when people who said they knew something began to talk. Nearly 12 years would pass after Grinstead's disappearance before the case was broken open by a surprising confession - but recent revelations indicate local law enforcement and state investigators may have had information that could have solved the case soon after she vanished. John McCullough, who maintains he tried to get investigators a key tip in 2007 that could have cracked the case, speaks out on television for the first time on 48 HOURS. Now, Grinstead's friends and family may learn what really happened to her. WATCH A PREVIEW
