But when they can't find anything out about the family's past, Pops comes to the rescue with the colorful story of how "Pops' Pops' Pops'" great-great grandfather, Drex Johnson, bet the future of the Johnson family against a ruthless gangster, Elroy Savoy, during the 1920s Harlem Renaissance, on "black-ish," WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. "black-ish" stars Anthony Anderson as Andre "Dre" Johnson/Drex, Tracee Ellis Ross as Rainbow Johnson/Bea, Yara Shahidi as Zoey Johnson/Zara, Marcus Scribner as Andre Johnson, Jr./Jo Jo Rags, Miles Brown as Jack Johnson/Jolly, Marsai Martin as Diane Johnson/Dolly and special guest star, Laurence Fishburne as Pops/Bippy Barnes.

Guest starring are Sean "Diddy" Combs as Elroy Savoy, Mary J. Blige as Mirabelle, Jenifer Lewis as Ruby/Rosey, Deon Cole as Charlie Telphy/Janitor, Jeff Meacham as Josh/Klark and Peter Mackenzie as Mr. Stevens/Mr. Kimble. Renowned choreographer Fatima Robinson choreographed the episode.
